Yes if the . Button lets me enter the exact amount. Interface just feels and looks clunky. And no easy way to use corporate sso with the app. What good is sso if you need to enter a password ### 3/5 — Can be better *2023-12-01* It does what is supposed to do but has limitations. Only way to submit receipts is through pictures. Please add a way to search through files on my phone and add pdf’s. Also add the ability to add multiple pictures at the same time. Autocorrect doesn’t work while adding note to the receipt. Better tools for admins are needed to sort and approve expenses. ### 3/5 — Janky UX *2023-03-09* It’s a great app for the most part but UX leaves a lot to be desired. Example: entering an expense and choosing Billable vs. Non-billable - the drop down touch target is small and the visual feedback leaves you wondering which option was actually chosen. Also not been able to find a record of past approved expenses - sometimes I get an email indicating approval, sometimes I don’t. ### 2/5 — Poor website. Manager and employee sections are unnecessarily split and confusing. Overall poorly designed and buggy ### 1/5 — Craptastic *2022-04-29, version 1.24.9* They will convince you to spend a non-refundable $500 for implementation, and then after 30 minutes will explain all the deficiencies. Then you will be out the money, go ANYWHERE ELSE. Shocking. ### 3/5 — Card Balance Unavailable *2022-02-20, version 1.24.6* We can no longer see the card balance in the app. This has been very frustrating for my company. ### 1/5 — Forgot password? Tough *2022-02-02, version 1.24.6* App has a critical error, if you try to submit your resend email for a forgotten password, the button will not trigger. Essentially, if you ever log out you’re never logging back in. ### 1/5 — Failed receipt image scanning *2021-12-05* Got at least one of business name, date, or amount wrong on 10 of 15 receipts. When date is imported wrong from receipt, you can’t tap to edit it. Workaround requires manually recreating expense then attaching image of receipt. It overwrites wrong date from receipt, but this time you can tap to edit it. Additional annoyances: • Bottom row of numbers keyboard for entering mileage or amount overlaps iOS home swipe indicator line at bottom of screen. • UI for capturing, selecting, and uploading receipt images is substantially different depending on which order you perform actions. • Can’t organize receipts into groups, so shared details like category and purpose have to be manually entered on every expense. • Prompts for lack of location access every time you tap to edit business name of an expense, but doesn’t link to app’s page in the Settings app so that you can grant access. • Start and end locations in mileage calculator disappear as soon as you finish entering them. Perhaps this has to do with lack of location access, but it doesn’t give any such indication. ### 1/5 — So many bugs, why bother *2021-03-21, version 1.23.93* Great idea, shame about the software. ### 4/5 — Getting there... *2020-02-01* My company uses abacus for expense management. It makes tracking and recording expenses easy. The app needs a little work, but there have been more updates recently then there’s been in the past two years. Favorite part is that once an expense is approved the money hits your account typically two days later. ### 1/5 — Ok. Credit card import often broken *2019-12-16, version 1.23.0* New app update doesn’t show text I type on iPhone X Credit card sync continues to fail It’s better than spreadsheets, but the import from American Express keeps failing on my account. I report the issue and sometimes get a temporary fix. Issue has been around for years. It has been this way for over a year. Feels like this app needs to be revamped. Otherwise fairly happy with the product but more AI suggestions would be nice. ### 1/5 — Pathetic *2023-07-21, version 1.24.11* Going on months of having the decimal button be glitchy and not working half the time. Use the apple keyboard if you can't get it to work yourself. Unintuitive app, go through 3 clicks just to get to the only purpose of abacus, putting in an expense. You have to actively work to make an app this bad ### 1/5 — SO MANY GLITCHES *2023-07-09* Keeps telling me I can’t process a new expense because I do not have place and amount filled in. They are very much filled in. Useless with glitches that won’t let you process the basic functions of the app. Get a better more responsive development team (or provide a bigger budget so they can get their work done appropriately). ### 1/5 — Saml/sso doesn’t work *2023-05-17* Deep link from okta opens app on get started screen followed by email and password log in. Since it’s supposed to be sso there is no password. Saml sso logs in fine on the web. Can’t log in can’t use app. Pleas fix deep linking with a saml login. ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2023-03-02, version 1.24.10* Can only submit 1 expense at a time; then have to restart the app. Lastly, you cannot see what expenses have been submitted or are in the queue for approval. Also, the support team is great, if you are in a pinch, ask for Perry! ### 5/5 — Makes Expenses Easy *2019-09-03* Abacus is really easy to use as someone that travels often. The mobile app is very simple, I just have to take a picture of my receipt and it will match it to my Amex transaction for me. Most of the time I just have to take a picture and the category will fill in for me and I only have to hit send. Not sure if this is the app or my finance department, but I get paid back on Abacus very quickly and the funds direct deposit into my bank account. I love using this for my travel expenses or days when I’m not in the office, because I can snap a photo of the receipt and expense it in the moment. I’m really bad at keeping slips of paper for a later time, so this is the best system for me to make a purchase and make sure I’m getting my reimbursement.
