## What is ABAW?

We are a nonprofit organization based in the City of Whitehorse, Melbourne, dedicated to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and prosperous community. Our mission is deeply rooted in the celebration and support of diversity and multiculturalism, recognizing the richness that different cultures bring to our shared community. We believe that through mutual understanding and collaboration, we can create a thriving environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.

As advocates for community economic development, we work tirelessly to support small businesses, entrepreneurs, and local industries. Our initiatives are designed to empower individuals and organizations to succeed, contributing to the economic growth and sustainability of our region. We understand that a strong, interconnected community is the foundation of a thriving local economy, and we are committed to creating opportunities for networking, skill-building, and resource sharing. 
One of our most significant contributions to the community is hosting some of the largest and most anticipated Asian community events across Melbourne. These events not only showcase the rich traditions, vibrant cultures, and artistic expressions of the Asian community but also serve as a platform for fostering intercultural dialogue and understanding. From lively festivals filled with music, dance, and culinary delights to insightful forums and business networking opportunities, our events bring people together to celebrate unity in diversity.
Our flagship events, such as the annual Moon Festival and Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations, that have attracted tens of thousands of attendees, establishing themselves as cornerstone events in Melbourne’s cultural calendar. These events have created memorable experiences for families, friends, and visitors, while also supporting local businesses and artisans by providing them with valuable exposure and engagement opportunities.
At our core, we are driven by a passion for building bridges across cultures, promoting inclusivity, and enhancing the well-being of the community. Through our programs and activities, we aim to strengthen social connections, inspire cultural pride, and pave the way for a more united and harmonious future.
