Its a childrens app for crying out loud! Have an ad filter! ### 3/5 — A few flaws *2013-02-03, version 2.2* My children like this app and are learning their letters with its help. One issue I have is that they way it wants you to write some letters (d, m, w, etc.) is incorrect. I teach Kindergarten and we try as much as possible to keep the pencil from lifting off the paper and this app does not do this (w should be one line down up down up, they want 4 lines going down...) if this was fixed it would be an awesome app. ### 1/5 — No Sound - Don't Buy *2012-08-14, version 2.1* Purchased for my grand children. THE SOUND HAS NEVER WORKED! I have checked and double checked the mute button and that is not the issue! This app needs to be fixed. If necessary just remove the mute function to resolve this issue. Adjust the volume with the buttons on the iPad. Do not buy this app if you expect to have sounds. Terrible is the best word for this app currently. Fix the volume and I would rate this app a 4 but in its current state I rate it a 1 at best. ### 1/5 — Inappropriate *2012-08-13, version 2.1* On the free version of this app, an ad was continuously at the top for "Meet Singles Free." Pictures of girls kept flashing. However, this app is very motivating for some kids. Every time my daughter tries to draw a number she invariably hits either the banner at the top or the bottom, which instantly takes you to the app store to buy some random app. What's worse, is it loads from the beginning again when you switch back to the app from the involuntary app-store visit. It appears to not support multitasking. (using an iphone 4s) The app itself *might* be decent, but the demo version is incredibly frustrating for both my kids and myself. Let people actually TRY it, rather than loading 30-40% of the screen with reactive advertising. The point of this app is to introduce the letters to kindergarten students and lower ( if applicable). It's ok to get it wrong the first few times but eventually the students get the e hang if it. That being said, I do agree that a few letters need to be changed, M,N, and W for instance. The people who complain about not being able to finish the letter are the same people who can't deal with failure and how to rise above it.
