Then I saw it was only for the iPod touch (2nd generation). This app is a little more intense than the last one, as you have 26 groups to match rather than 10. It is also slightly more challenging to match upper and lower case letters, as well as a picture. This extra challenge is quite an improvement and is guaranteed to keep your little ones entertained – and educated! It is perfect (and designed) for those kids that have not, but are ready to learn the alphabet. I love the "Learn" option, as it takes the child through the entire alphabet first, as a good learning tool, then they can try their new-found knowledge on the matching part. This was an unexpected surprise, as I was expecting the exact same options as the first game. Your kids will also get to know the characters, as well. Just like Dora the Explorer, Bob the Builder or Thomas the Tank Engine, your kids will grow a fondness for the consistency between this series of learning apps. I recommend purchasing the first game first, as that game has a “Pals” option to learn about the characters.
