I find this app audio too quiet compared to all other media apps I have so especially need subtitles that match what is being said. But in a deaf household it’s painful having to turn subtitles on every - single - time we watch a show. Other Apple TV apps seem to remember, and use the Apple TV default settings. Don’t waste your time. You can’t access your account leaving you unable to use the app because despite putting in your details it insists on a verification code that never ever reaches your email. ### 1/5 — Log in continuously fails *2026-05-05, version 7.9.2* This app only gives 10seconds to open your email, wait 25seconds for the email to arrive, memorise the number, then enter in the box, completely unrealistic…. It just comes up that it can’t be streamed outside Australia. I’m in Queensland ffs! Even with vpn disabled, deleting and downloading the app again repeatedly! Terrible update ### 1/5 — Since latest update the app is extremely buggy and slow *2026-08-15, version 7.10.0* I watch the ABC via this app on my LG smart TV. Since the app updated a week or so ago, there are now two load screens that take 3-4 minutes to progress through before the app even opens. After that, once you click to watch a channel, there’s another 1 minute load screen while the channel loads. This is by a very large margin a much worse experience than regular broadcast TV, where once you were able to switch a television on and start watching the broadcast literally immediately. ### 1/5 — The app not working *2026-08-13, version 7.10.0* I used to be using it and after the update of the app. It just block me out and I am not able to login or register. It doesn’t give me the option to input my password, if I delete it and reinstall it still goes through the same ‘send a code and input it’ cycle and when I tried to close it down and start a new account I got a verification email with no actionable information. (Much better than before when it would play the same 2 episodes over and over.) We also really appreciate the new feature to limit a kids profile to only the selected shows we have pre-approved. (NO Pepper Pig!) …oh and almost forgot, disabling pre-roll ads for other non-parent-approved shows is such a mature, respectful, well considered idea, thank you! **Developer response:** Actually... you are not forced to use an app at all. I used to watch all sorts of good quality shows on here. I got a new phone and totally forgot about this app. I’m trying to download it and it’s just not working. I was playing games on my phone while waiting, like I usually do, but it there was absolutely no progress. So I turned it off, took a shower, had some food and did some work. Literally an hour and a half later, still nothing I’m so frustrated and still waiting. Does anyone know if I need to do something to make it download or does this app just have take over two hours to download?
