Add a notification for people who are aged 18+ that the app is not deaf approved and the person who is deaf cannot use the app’s audio…🥺🥺 ### 3/5 — Autoplay is horrible *2026-01-02, version 1.7.8* Great app, however it will auto play whenever Bluetooth connects to a device, even when the app is fully closed. I love the details like multicultural highlights on words in different languages. My son loves listening to the Gardening Buds podcast and we have started growing vegetables in the garden as a result. He was reminding me in the Bunnings to get sunflower seeds because “sunflowers bring happiness. We have listened to Dreamtime, Animal Sound Safari, and Let’s Pretend as well. Please continue funding for more quality educational kids podcasts like the ones that have been created because they really expand a kid’s (and parent’s) world of knowledge. They are enjoyable to listen to together and give great opportunities for bonding time. ### 4/5 — Great content *2024-08-08, version 1.7.6* Great content, my boys love a couple of imagine this episodes at bed time. It would be great though if there was a ‘play next’ or ‘add to queue’ option on the episodes so you could line them up instead of having to watch the time and select the next episode. ### 4/5 — Good but some glitches *2022-10-08, version 1.7.4* We love this app, especially both story times, but it’s very sporadic about loading up the new days’ stories. I have to delete the app periodically for it to update. The volume issue raised by another review two years ago is still an issue; some stories are louder than others. It’s also now getting a little repetitive with the story choices - time to add some new ones into the selection! We love the gardening buds, yarns, story salad, road trip, shake and move...it’s a fabulous app and keeps my little ones off the tv and entertained and happy and calm, or moving and grooving safely away from YouTube etc. We love the recognisable voices from ABC too. Thanks for all your work on this - very much appreciated! ### 4/5 — A fantastic sanity saving app when it works; the name of my existence when it doesn’t. *2022-09-15* Our twins *adore* the bedtime stories component, and always ask for ‘The Alex Stories.’ However over the last couple months we’ve had numerous evenings where the app just straight up refuses to cast to the Google Home, either the individual speakers in the children’s respective rooms or the speaker group we’ve set up to play the stories simultaneously in both rooms. And on these nights where it won’t cast, the children will accept no substitutes and bed time becomes… hellish. However, a few days ago I started to have some issues on the live channel where the audio would buffer for awhile and then give out. I really hope that this issue can be fixed. Please check your connection. iPad is connected to wifi with a strong signal and all other apps are working fine. Help? Thanks ### 1/5 — Shouted repetitive promos *2025-06-29, version 1.7.7* Who at the abc thinks its a good idea to have promos for shows that i intentionally didn’t select from the menu for my toddler to listen to? Who thinks its a good idea to have the exact same promo played over and over and over? How is it relaxing bedtime listening to have “its dino time!” shouted at us at the end of a relaxing show, just as we are nodding off? Or “abc kids listen” shouted at us in a kids voice at 120% volume? Also, It is a real shame that this ap requires iOS 13 or later because it was really convenient to have it on the old phone for the kids. ### 1/5 — Increasingly frustrating *2024-12-03, version 1.7.7* Music playback is frequently buffering. So if you want your kids to develop really harsh accents this app will help with that. They'll be saying their ar sound like a sea gull in no time! I was kind of hoping this app would have a variety of subtle or attractive/cultured accents. (aka posh.) Dreamy, thoughtful, calming, and grounding. I’ve played them for my children since 2020 and continue to nightly. Even I listen to them to get to sleep. Production is wonderful - and it’s ***FREE*** particular shout out to “Full body scan”, “Summer - Camping on Kangaroo Island” and “Winter - Snowy Mountains”. ### 5/5 — My Daughters ❤️ News Time *2021-07-11, version 1.6* Both my six and three year old daughters love News Time. We play the podcasts in the car or at home as an alternative to screen time. We have listened to all the podcasts two or three times. It’s terrific as it teaches them to concentrate and remember whilst at the same time acquire new knowledge. The only feedback I have is it would be very good if News Time was available on the app in Carplay. Apart from that, I can’t recommend the segment or ABC Kids Listen app enough! ### 5/5 — Perfect for Bedtime *2021-06-14* This app has SAVED US! Our 4 year old wanted us to lay with him until he fell asleep each night and it was becoming extremely time consuming when we have other children needing to go to bed also. The Imagine This programs is like mini podcasts for kids and my son LOVES THEM! Each night now we put them on, tuck him in and he goes off to sleep without us. He is sleeping so much better now. Not waking as often and knows all sorts of random info that he says he learnt from the ABC kids listen app! Thank you!
