### 4/5 — SPELLING

*2013-01-06, version 3.2*

This app is great to teach at home your children how to spell words right. I like the difference of colours in red and blue to distinguish between vowels and consonants. I like this app in general.

### 1/5 — Screen freezing

*2011-06-04, version 2.2*

Fix please

### 3/5 — Great app but it's only American

*2013-03-07, version 4.0*

I love the app but it's very frustrating that there isn't an English option as my little boy keeps saying some words or letters with an American accent. So unfortunately I have to delete it :(

### 3/5 — Good app

*2013-01-05, version 3.2*

This app is pretty good for spelling and phonetics but I wish it were more advanced. The pictures and sounds are a bit remedial and could use some sprucing up.

### 4/5 — Having Issues

*2024-01-04*

Magic reading apps has been a wonderful resource and teaching my preschool to read. The magic spelling apps are having a new issue, after completing the first word, on the subsequent word, letters will not move to be dragged into place. So basically, these apps are useless now. Would greatly appreciate the issue being fixed.

### 4/5 — Decent app

*2018-05-03*

I like the app, it is a good way for kids to learn the basic “cvc” of words. I think what would make it even better though, is if there was the ability to hear the full word, slowly articulated (S-u-n), instead of just the isolated sounds of the letters. This way they would learn to hear the proper sequence of the letter sounds within the word, and it would be easier for them to transfer the skill to their writing.
Thanks for the app.

### 4/5 — Good but 1 recommendation

*2013-04-21, version 4.0*

Great to use with kindergarten friends but wish the vowels were in red and consonants in blue. Everything we buy for teaching supplies, always has vowels in red. So to have the vowels in blue kind of confuses them at first.

### 4/5 — Let your kids learn

*2013-01-08, version 3.2*

With this nice app, your kids will learn the words so easily! It's amazing :)

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good Education for my children

*2018-09-11*

I like it because your children get to learn more and that’s why I have given it a 5 out of 5

### 5/5 — Great for helping children build and spell words

*2016-05-25*

This is a great introduction for building and spelling short vowel 3-letter words. There are 2 types of games and a category for each vowel. Great for helping children with beginning phonics.

### 5/5 — great fun spelling and building CVC words

*2016-05-18*

This app focuses on spelling and building 3-letter CVC words. In actuality word building increases reading skills. This app has a couple of choices where you can choose to build the word with either just the letters that are part of that word or from the entire alphabet.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2015-10-04*

This app is really great! It follows the best teaching practices for helping young children learn the sounds and functions of the letters. It is like a talking alphabet that says the sounds of the letters instead of the names of the letters. Each letter says its sound when tapped. Each picture can be tapped to hear what it is, too. Fortunately, This app uses lowercase letters which are 20 times more common than uppercase letters in written print. This app is a very helpful and supportive tool for emerging readers. It can help your child become a better reader and a better speller.

### 5/5 — Updated version

*2013-12-03, version 4.0*

Just downloaded this for my 5 yr old son. Wanted to update previous review that the vowels are now blue, consonants red, in case anyone was wondering!

### 5/5 — Good teaching tool.
