It’s mostly misleading spam/scam with AI generated images. The streaming service is glitchy, anchors sound like they're on helium or 1.25x speed. And yes, the morning show without Reggie is not the same. The silly fun is gone. If I choose auto play, starting with the sound muted has value. If I expressly press play, it seems unlikely I want to watch the video without sound. Simple fix. The content plays fine, it’s the ads that most of the time get stuck in a constant download state. Nothing plays, this morning I started watching the 6am broadcast (at 8am). When it went to an ad I started cooking breakfast, after 10min of no sound I checked and the app was stuck on a 30sec ad and the download circle just spun. Ten minutes later it’s still spinning. This ridiculous behavior is frustrating and unnecessary. Your content plays fine and buffers nicely, why can’t you do the same with the ads you force us to watch? Done with ABC until this is fixed. Or tell me how. I’ve tried to no avail. Edit: I prefer ABC 7 Bay Area for my local news. The newscasters are the best!! But the app… I get a notification on my phone about a story. Yet there’s no refresh the news. Additionally, under any tab in this app, there’s not much news and most of it is old reports. It seems that the writers on their staff have the most boring, shallow, and unoriginal perspectives on any given story, which they convey through their high-school sophomore level of analysis and intrigue. I notice these aren’t written by the OG cast on the video segments, who actually do offer in-depth analysis or questions & research into stories and demonstrate a more well-rounded, everyday-people approach to these stories that represent larger issues or concerns in our community. ### 1/5 — Videos do NOT play *2024-08-09, version 8.45.0* This is a video news platform where the videos do not play.
