## What is Aber hier leben..?

"Aber hier leben.." is an awareness tool for people who want to know, in everyday life or while travelling, which political environment they are currently in. The app shows you how high the vote share of far-right parties is at your current location - from polling district up to federal level. When you enter an area where your threshold is exceeded, you receive a notification - directly from the device, without the cloud.

WHAT THE APP SHOWS
• Vote share of far-right parties at your current location
• All four election levels: federal, state, local, European
• Resolution down to polling-district level, where data is available
• Historical election results per region

HOW TO USE THE APP
• Map: tap anywhere in Germany and see the shares for all levels
• Location: your current place is shown in the banner, with tap-through detail
• Search: check places before you travel there - useful when planning a trip, comparing a potential new home or getting a sense of an unfamiliar neighbourhood

NOTIFICATIONS
• Threshold freely adjustable per election level
• Local only, no push backend
• Maximum one notification per location per day

PRIVACY FIRST
• Location data never leaves your device
• No backend, no servers, no user accounts
• No tracking, no analytics SDK, no advertising
• All data is bundled inside the app - it works completely offline

DATA
All election results come from official, public sources:
• Federal elections: Bundeswahlleiterin
• State elections: state statistical offices
• Local elections: municipal open-data portals
• European elections: Bundeswahlleiterin

The data status and source references per region can be viewed inside the app. Where data at polling-district level is not available, the app shows the next higher available level.

THE CLUSTER
Counted as "far-right" are the four parties classified by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (Verfassungsschutz) as confirmed right-wing extremist: AfD, Die Heimat (formerly NPD), Der III. Weg, Die Rechte. The list can be viewed transparently in the settings under "Cluster Transparency".
