Funds are raised by posting pictures of products at grocery stores or dishes that are completely plant based/vegan. As friends of some of the sanctuaries, I can confirm that these donations are real and the sanctuaries do indeed get this funding and it helps them a great deal. The people are very supportive, share interesting vegan products, give insights to the country where they live and have the common goal of improving the lives of animals. The group welcome people to join at whatever point they’ve reached in trying to eat plant based food. The best thing about it is abillion reward members for their product and restaurant reviews by donating money to the many charities on their register. Mainly animal sanctuaries, but also ocean conservationists and tree preservationists. Deswegen war ich neugierig und hab sie runtergeladen. Die sieht auch erst mal ganz schick und informativ aus. Allerdings was soll das wenn ich mich versuche dort zu registrieren? Ich brauch ein Einladung Code, damit ich mich dort registrieren kann? Also das ist dann leider ein totaler Fail würde ich mal sagen und ich benutze dann lieber die andern Plattform, die nicht so ein elitäres Gehabe haben. They allow reviews of plenty of brands that test on animals. Would these reviews be removed if they showed animal products in food or if a user was reviewing fur, leather, or wool? There is little regard for smaller animals that are tested on like mice, rats, gerbils, and rabbits. ### 1/5 — Einladungscode benötigt *2025-03-24, version 5.4.6* Anders als in der Antwort auf eine Rezension von Februar ist der Einladungscode nicht optional. Deleted on the first day when I contacted them for support asking how to "never show me ads for meat restaurants again" only to learn they don't support veganism or vegan restaurants; making this a lousy ideation, exactly redundant and worthless... go gold dig for billions elsewhere jerkos. ### 1/5 — Antes era mejor *2024-07-02, version 4.68.0* Antes era más fácil y intuitiva ### 1/5 — Decepcionado de la falta de valores. *2024-04-25, version 4.63.0* La descargué por lo que promovía y la posibilidad de ayudar a los santuarios. Hace cerca de un año no envían el dinero a los santuarios y estos no dan abasto. La respuesta oficial de Abillion fue que si quieren donaciones busquen socios, porque ya cumplieron su objetivo de que mucha gente descargue la app. Usan la imagen de los santuarios para su beneficio económico. Santuario Salvajes solicitó se le remueva de la app porque no quieren que se utilice su imagen para beneficio personal y empresarial. De eso van más de 6 meses. Esta era mi reseña 5 estrellas cuando si donaban COMO ANUNCIAN en la app y publicidades: La aplicación es excelente, permite no solo ver opciones de comida cosmética o ropa sin explotación animal de por medio, sino también donar santuarios locales un dolar por cada reseña. Estaría bueno que le recuerden a los usuarios que DEBEN confirmar sus cuentas en notificaciones DENTRO de la app en su uso y permitir que se reenvíe el correo de confirmación ya que se pierde en el flood de mails. ### 1/5 — No llegan las donaciones a ningún santuario *2024-04-17, version 4.63.0* He juntando muchos dólares para donar a santuarios, luego me comunico con los mismos preguntando si es que les llegan las donaciones y me dicen que no, que Abillion no les hace llegar las donaciones hace más de un año. ESTAFA ### 1/5 — Not vegan but wanted to review an awesome vegan snack. *2023-09-08, version 4.58.0* No search option so I couldn't even find the snack on the app, even though it was an online review that led me to the app. Wanted to make a difference. Couldn't. For the record, the snack is Mcenedy's Plant Jerky from LIDL. One of the tastiest things I've ever eaten. My local store bought a small box and I think, over a few weeks, I bought every sample. Shame really, because they probably won't get any more. As a vegan for some years now, it has made my journey into discovering plant-based cuisine so much easier and more exciting. I love how simple it is to find vegan-friendly dishes, products, and restaurants wherever I am. The community is also super supportive and inspiring. Definitely a must-have for anyone trying explore a vegan lifestyle! ### 5/5 — Most impactful app *2025-07-09* I’ve been active with this app since when this was new. I use a lot of apps, and this is my favorite because it’s not just for my well-being, but also for supporting non-profits and for growing the vegan community. I used to be a bookkeeper for one of our animal sanctuaries, so I know that the donations are 100% legit. To earn donation dollars, it doesn’t take a whole lot of effort. I personally put great effort into posting nice photos and detailed reviews, but a friend of mine only takes two photos with whatever background is most convenient and writes one or two sentences, and I only earn about $.20 more than him. I also learn about other brands, products, recipes, ideas, etc., from other people‘s reviews and comments. This app seems to attract positive people, because in all these years, I’ve never seen a single negative comment, which I appreciate. I’m not crazy about the search feature, so I maintain my own list of what I review, because after so many, it’s hard to remember. Maybe there is a way to search your own reviews, but I haven’t figured it out, at least not a quick way. There’s also a map where you’re supposed to be able to find vegan restaurants near certain locations, but I still prefer Happy Cow for that, which makes me feel a bit conflicted, because I don’t have time to post reviews in both places, but because abillion is beyond generous, I don’t know how they do it, I give them 5*.
