### 3/5 — DO NOT RUN ON MACOS!!!

*2023-06-01*

Now that we can run iPhone and iPad apps on the latest MacOS, it is very tempting to run them especially when the app is so very useful. I ran the app on quite a few ABR and PAT files on my MiniMac before I noticed that the app was eating/erasing the Photoshop files. Ugh! I usually keep backups, but I was so busy looking at the contents of my ABR files that I have no idea which ABR and PAT files I lost.

To developers: This is a wonderful andvery much needed app to all Photoshop users. If you can adjust the app to not erase the PS files when run on Ventura Macs, you will have a gold mine! Maybe make a copy of the PS file and use the copy to display the contents?

### 2/5 — Looked good but...

*2019-12-11*

I was very excited to use it, however the brushes inside don’t have a transparent background

### 2/5 — White background

*2019-07-13*

White backgrounds appear after loading brushes. Even if those brushes don’t have any backgrounds! Fix it plz..

**Developer response:** Please check version 2.0. Whole app was created from scratch, it now supports abr, tpl ,pat and has convenient ways of exporting/importing.

### 1/5 — Did not work for me.

*2017-06-26*

Used this app in an attempt to extract my custom made abr brushes. Easy to get to the point of extraction but then it wont extract and displays a message saying file format not supported.

Used on ipad pro.

**Developer response:** Please check version 2.0. Whole app was created from scratch, it now supports abr, tpl ,pat and has convenient ways of exporting/importing.

### 1/5 — Not exporting properly

*2016-12-20*

It's only exporting one or two brush images, and not the rest. Paid money for. This app to be able to do this and it can't even complete this simple task.

**Developer response:** Please check version 2.0. Whole app was created from scratch, it now supports abr, tpl ,pat and has convenient ways of exporting/importing.

### 1/5 — Waste of money and time

*2016-01-02*

I download all these brushes. Abr had them then they disappeared. The picture that they have here on how it looks is NOT how it is. Uninstall then reinstall. Wasted time and money on this. Can't transfer to Procreate either. Waste

**Developer response:** Please check version 2.0. Whole app was created from scratch, it now supports abr, tpl ,pat and has convenient ways of exporting/importing.

### 1/5 — Any way to use with Procreate software?

*2015-04-08*

I like the ability to download abr brushes, but cannot use any of them, since they all turn black in my photos gallery, as they do not appear as white on a black background. Is this software compatible with the Procreate art app?

**Developer response:** Please check version 2.0. Whole app was created from scratch, it now supports abr, tpl ,pat and has convenient ways of exporting/importing.

### 5/5 — Couldn't live without this app!

*2015-02-15*

This app is essential for serious digital artists using an IPad. This app allows you to import brushes from online sources, like deviant art.
(note/tip: I save all the files to my GoodReader first, as many files are zipped. And so I have them all in one place. Dropbox doesn't work as well! GoodReader is essential too, imo. Unzip file and click "open with " and the Abr viewer will come up.
Choose the brushes you want or all the brushes and save to your photos. Then load into your favorite art program!
It's easier than it sounds:)

This ABR app is amazing, it works perfectly and allows me to access all abr files and brushes.

I wish this group would also create an ACO viewer! (Color palettes)
Also:
To the idiot who thinks this is an app with brushes installed, you're really goofy! This is a file viewer for the hundreds of thousands of ABR brush files anyone can find online. You save these to your photos and install in the art app. This is a file viewer! The only one out there for abr files. Don't give this a low rating bc you are ignorant!!

**Developer response:** Please check version 2.0. Whole app was created from scratch, it now supports abr, tpl ,pat and has convenient ways of exporting/importing.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work

*2024-10-18*

App crashes every time I try to open a file. Don’t waste your money.

### 1/5 — Has white background

*2024-04-07*

ABR brushes are PNG. This opens them as jpeg with a white background. It’s only $2 but was an absolute waste of $2 as I cannot actually use it to export the ABR images properly.

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2020-01-29*

It would be waste if you are planning to buy this for importing brushes cuz it doesn't supply the transparent background. Better to buy ice cream and look for other app.

### 1/5 — Don’t buy it

*2019-11-11*

I bought version 2 but it doesn’t convert photoshop brushes to PNG‘s for Procreate. There‘s still a white background behind the brush images. Why? I’m angry.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2019-08-19*

This app does not convert ABR / photoshop brushes to PNG’s for Procreate. There’s still a white background behind the brush images that isn’t supposed to be there if the images were properly converted to PNGs. The app is only for converting stamps and patterns which are anyways a possibility to save as PNG’s on photoshop. Totally worthless.

### 1/5 — App is useless

*2019-07-27*

Can’t save brush as PNG. As result, when I create brush in Procreate it has white background.

### 1/5 — Trash

*2019-05-06*

Don’t waste your money, Bought this to make ABR brushes into PNG’s so I could import to procreate. Doesn’t work, can’t read ABR’s that I know properly work in photoshop. No support and just useless.

### 1/5 — Low quality and slow

*2019-03-31*

The images that are unpacked using this app are barely legible, super bad quality, and it takes forever. Don’t bother with this app, use a pc.

### 1/5 — nothing working

*2017-09-03*

there's absolutely nothing i can do. It's just a blank screen with a refresh tap.

**Developer response:** Please check version 2.0. Whole app was created from scratch, it now supports abr, tpl ,pat and has convenient ways of exporting/importing.

### 1/5 — Don't work

*2017-06-28, version 1.1*

Don't spend your money on this application. It does not do what it says it will do!!! No brushes. Nothing! Worst app ever. I need my money back!!!

### 5/5 — Need help

*2020-05-25*

I purchased your app and it opens the abr file and shows 3 brushes but no images. It says “computed brush. No preview available” and I can’t do anything with it. Any help would be appreciated!

### 5/5 — It does what it is supposed to

*2020-02-01*

As per title.

### 5/5 — it works

*2019-07-01*

used it as an abr viewer/converter for procreate

### 5/5 — Okay, writing again!

*2019-02-17*

Another 5 stars for you guys! After getting version 2.0, this works amazingly well. You open up the files in this app, and boom— you have every single picture. You can select the ones you like, and upload them to something else, or save them as images for an app like Procreate. You don’t have to save the images a second time in order to get them to show up in Procreate anymore. It’s perfect for what I need! You guys rock! Fantastic job on 2.0!

**Developer response:** Please check version 2.0. Whole app was created from scratch, it now supports abr, tpl ,pat and has convenient ways of exporting/importing.

### 5/5 — Essential for Custom Brushes

*2019-02-02*

For folks who use Procreate and want to convert an ABR file, this app is the Holy Grail!

This app is irreplaceable when it comes to converting Photoshop brushes and patterns to other formats for other iOS based painting software. You might have to research a tutorial to help you along. However if I can figure out a work flow for importing PS brushes into Procreate using this app, anyone can.

I’d give it six stars if I could! Bravo!

### 5/5 — It works!

*2018-11-30*

Tested with about 10 abr files from deviantart, it worked with all of them.

### 5/5 — Works fine

*2017-11-27*

I usually export them as email and send them to myself if regular export to the “photo” doesn’t works

**Developer response:** Please check version 2.0. Whole app was created from scratch, it now supports abr, tpl ,pat and has convenient ways of exporting/importing.

### 5/5 — benoibe, thank you for your review

*2015-08-03*

1st off, thank you benoibe for your review would help me determine to purchase this app and must say it was worth it! This app along with GoodReader makes it fun and easy to look up and download brushes when you are on the go via iPad to use later on.

Note: As far as I know you cannot open and use brushes from .ABR directly into another drawing app at the moment. Pixelmator for iPad may possibly add this feature in the future but no word yet on that. So until then drag any .abr files from the iTunes folder to the brushes folder of the software you are using.

This however works good for me because by the time I get home I can focus more on transferring and using the downloaded brushes .ABR in Pixelmator and getting down to business. Another thing to mention is that if you have Pixelmator for IPad, use the brushes in the Mac version 1st so that way you can edit them in the iPad version via iCloud once when the file syncs. There you can copy, edit, resize, etc.

Really enjoy this app and very easy to manage brush files when transferring files via iTunes to my brushes folder.
