### 4/5 — Fun way to kill time

*2013-12-30, version 1.94*

My daughter loves this app

### 4/5 — Very full featured and convenient app

*2013-12-12, version 1.91*

Many of us have been looking for a calendar with a handwriting-input feature, and this is one of the better ones. Within each day, one can open an infinite number of "pages," and one can also import templates (from the photo library) to create such backgrounds as grids, lines, etc. In addition, each page has an infinite capacity for panning and zooming, there's a wrist guard, and an infinite color selection too, along with a size selector. That's a lot of features - more than most of other handwriting-calendar apps that are on the market.

The only feature that this app lacks, in my opinion, is the ability to back up to dropbox or to sync with other devices. Because having one's calendar on always on hand is crucial, the absence of better sharing capabilities is often felt. I would definitely give the app five stars if this improvement were made.

### 4/5 — Been looking for this

*2013-12-10, version 1.91*

I really like this. Would love it if we could have a weekly view just like my old Collins calendar.

### 4/5 — Absolute Calendar

*2013-11-14, version 1.91*

I have always used a Collins 'Month View' paper calendar; I like to see a month at a time for both reviewing and planning. This electronic calendar allows for this and also for the use of colours and graphics. For me, an absolute must app; highly recommended.

### 4/5 — Not worth $2.99 YET but has GREAT potential for WORK

*2013-10-14, version 1.91*

I bought the app because its potential which I hope will be accomplished when they listen to current users. My suggestions:

Updates:
[**] Editing a saved entry should not generate a new page.

Exported screen shot does not look at all like the drawing as it looks on the calendar. It seems it needs to flatten the file. I had to make a screen capture and export to ALBUMS, edit there by cropping out the unnecessary menu and then send through e-mail. This was a complex drawing I made.

I would like to repeat and event over several days or months without writing it over x amount of times. Essential.

Needs ability to RESIZE and MOVE imported photos.

[**] Pages additions to same day needs some work.

1) All calendars use alarms, i don't know why this one doesn't.

2) the "info" information doesn't need the name of the app in big letters, we already know it. The info itself could use a smaller font in a contrasty color. A more "pro" look is needed.

3) the ability to add more than one photo per day is crucial to document more than one event occurring on the same day.

Other than these 3 "big flaws" I welcome the idea of actually writing on it and being able to export via mail .

It is refreshing, quick and intuitive so i hope it evolves for the better. It is almost there but not worth $2.99 YET. Needs to loose the childish look so professionals can use it at the office without getting weird looks.

### 4/5 — Really useful!

*2012-06-19, version 1.8*

I love this App, especially being able to write over photos. PLEASE could you include some clip art, the option to type something and could the background be pictures or textures maybe. Thank you! X

### 4/5 — Absolute board calendar

*2012-04-17, version 1.8*

Good application just what I was looking for. Please upgrade the drawing features (Wrist rest, magnification, back ground format lines grids etc, Highliter) similar to 'Notability' app. Also add some sort of backup syncronization (dropbox, Evernote, I cloud). Other than that a great app.

### 5/5 — Great Simply app you can really use.

*2012-03-13, version 1.7*

I needed a calendar app that I could mark days with a simple X without having to use the keyboard. This app does that and more. I can also jot down notes and whatever. It's easy and simple to use and I wish I had found this calendar app a long time ago.

### 5/5 — Just what I needed.

*2012-01-22, version 1.6*

This calendar is extremely simple to use but has enough to make it worthwhile.

I am using it for a simple cross calendar (similar to when you put an x on a wall calendar to say that day is over) but it offers a lot more.

You can import pictures into it and annotate or draw on them... ideal for birthday reminders, so you can put a picture of the person on there!

It hasn't crashed, it's a small download, loads quickly and does all I need.

There is a free version if you want to trial it, but you can only do it for the first month. This version is unrestricted in that way.

One negative is that it doesn't allow multiple calendars. You can add several entries to the same day but it would be nice to be able to switch between several calendars.

Still 5/5.

### 5/5 — Just like paper

*2012-01-05, version 1.5*

You wouldn't think it would be so hard to find a simple calendar app that you can write on like a desk calendar, but it is, which is why I was thrilled to finally find this. Very easy to write on. No syncing, alarms, or slot-machine time selectors to deal with. Just pick a date and write/draw whatever you like, wherever you like. Easy. Adding pictures as backgrounds is a piece of cake too, if you're into that.

I made a few requests regarding tweaking the date format and few other things, and I couldn't be happier with the developer's communication. Top notch.

Lastly, if you used to use a program called Paper Agenda on your Windows PDA and are lamenting a such an easy app on the iPad, lament no more! Absolute Board Calendar is it.

### 5/5 — Good

*2011-10-07, version 1.4*

A picture with handwritten notes to support the electronic calendar, very useful!
I like it!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Awful

*2018-05-01, version 1.98*

Looks like and works like it was designed for third graders

### 1/5 — Ruby

*2011-06-09, version 1.0*

Don't buy. Crashed immediately upon opening. Worthless

### 2/5 — Nice concept but

*2018-03-21, version 1.98*

Like what other reviews said here, it saves multiple data when you edit an entry. I was using Venus calendar but it won’t work properly anymore and I just got used in jotting down things in calendar like writing on a paper. This should be a free app. Also, when you jot down stuff and remove the full screen view to go back to calendar view, your entries are chopped down within the invisible borders. UGH!

### 2/5 — Hate it😔😡

*2012-11-03, version 1.91*

Usless

### 3/5 — I really love this app, but....

*2014-03-22, version 1.94*

When I first started using this app, it worked perfectly and was exactly what I need to keep up with appointments and document important things. However, in the last two, a maybe three weeks since I updated to IOS 7 (?) the app has been crashing and not saving the information that I have written down. This is a bug that really needs to be fixed because it was a really great app!

### 3/5 — Great calendar, quick input!

*2012-12-25, version 1.91*

Colorful, artistic and quick input! Very personal! But, would like a cross-off past dates option, a repeat event option and sync with Facebook events / birthdays too!

### 3/5 — Great...so far

*2012-11-24, version 1.91*

This is exactly what I was looking for! I would love for the holiday settings to be easier to understand. Also, it would be nice to have the option to change views (like a week view instead of a month) without hurting the simplicity of the app. An iPhone integration would be nice too, so I can pull up the same calendar on my iPad and iPhone. The ability to have the same event for like a week or every Monday until this date rather than having to copy the event for each day would make this a five star app too!

### 3/5 — Just what I needed

*2012-04-27, version 1.8*

My eye sight isn't very good and therefore I cannot see small print. The iPad calendar is so small I can barely see it with a magnifying glass, so this works very well for my needs. I do wish the developers would incorporate an alert system to events coming due. That is the only thing I'm missing from giving it 5 stars. How about an update!!!!

### 3/5 — Hand written cal

*2012-03-21, version 1.7*

I think this app is so fun and cool, I've been searching for a calendar I can write on and add photos. I give it 3 stars because I don't love the interface, such as the large borders on each entry, plus a customizable or color change background option would be ideal. I would love to be able to add more than one photo. If any of these features add on, I will def. give more stars. It's fun and I will certainly make use out of it!!

### 3/5 — Sorely missing a nicer interface and design

*2011-12-17, version 1.5*

This app is way more useful than it looks. The ugly icon and interface detracts from a slick idea. How often is it faster to write your daily plan than to type it. For this it is great. You can have several sheets of "paper" per day. Even create templates and copy them to another day. The only thing annoying for me is that it creates a new, current version of the page on each edit, leaving me in the end with a lot of stuff to select and delete. It should not do that and I actually consider this a bug.

Once the interface and icon is more appealing plus the annoying page auto duplication has been handled I consider this a 5 star app.

### 5/5 — Total control!!!!!

*2017-09-15, version 1.96*

I hate apps that pre-populate my calendar from Google. I know I can turn off people that contribute it, but I can't select just the things I want to show. I don't want to mess with that.

This calendar app lets me write in the things I want. I can color code them. I can copy or move them to different days easily. I can send my husband an email of the calendar. I can have multiple things on one day and see them easily.

And it's not ugly! I control what it looks like.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2017-02-06, version 1.96*

Just what I need for my iPad Pro. Being able to write whatever I want, booking customers and adding anything I wanted on that particular day. Even photos too .. just amazing .. keep up the good work.

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for

*2016-10-03, version 1.96*

I just needed a simple calendar that I could hand write notes onto using a stylus...or my finger, and this app was perfect! You run this app, and are presented with a full screen calendar, where you can then tap on any date and open it to a full screen, where you can then write by hand any note you want, then save it. Yes, it ended up costing me $2.99, but for me, it was worth every penny. Great app, if you want a simple calendar that you can write notes onto.

### 5/5 — CALENDAR

*2015-04-17, version 1.96*

I am absolutely loving this app! I cannot do without it. Very convenient to jot down with your finger every schedule you have. I only wish the developers make it for iPhone too. Also an alarm reminder function would be superb! Thank you!

### 5/5 — finally

*2014-01-18, version 1.94*

Love the variety of options -- background and ink color --- but most of all, it's just like having an old-fashioned pocket calendar that one can actually write on! No alarms or reminders, but so easy, practical, and convenient.

### 5/5 — FANTASTIC App!!!

*2013-10-25, version 1.91*

This is a fantastic, HIGH-QUALITY app!!! The BEST of the Best and just a brilliant calendar, I think!!!! I also have the Absolute Board which I also love and use constantly. Could not do without these two apps.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2013-04-25, version 1.91*

Really quick and easy to use. Gives a beautiful smooth feel to my handwriting, with lovely background and pen colours. Perfect for keeping track of what exercise or activity I do each day to keep fit, and the whole month of entries can be seen on the screen too - which is really motivating.

### 5/5 — MBarrymore

*2013-03-22, version 1.91*

Out of all the calendar apps available, this is the most functional and fun too. I wish there was an iphone version so I can sinc with my ipad! Im waiting in hope!

### 5/5 — Great

*2012-09-20, version 1.91*

Just what I wanted. Simple to use. Perfect. I have tried many calendar apps but most of them take ages to type in an entry. This is quick and easy and you can see everything at a glance.
