## What is Absolute Lymphocyte Count?

Lymphocytes are white blood cells that are also one of the body’s main types of immune cells. They are made in the bone marrow and found in the blood and lymph tissue. The normal lymphocyte range in adults is between 1,000 and 4,800 lymphocytes in 1 microliter (µL) of blood. Unusually high or low lymphocyte counts can be a sign of disease.
