This app is incredible. It checks every box in terms of functionality and ease of use. Absolutely perfect with Audiobookshelf. ### 5/5 — Perfect for me *2026-06-16, version v1.9.0* Amazing, simple. This UI puts many commercial services to shame, these features are the most complete I’ve seen on an audio app. It’s just beautiful. Plus no features behind a paywall, you get everything. Plappa and Prologue are fine, but, not as good as native ABS. We'll, I think in Absorb, I have finally found something better. One thing that Absorb does really well is casually switching between a handful of books on your "reading pile". This is front in center in Absorb, whereas in ABS, I always had to filter by "in progress" manually. The different approach to app design, app philosophy, and all around polish makes this app amazing. Honestly might become my most used app eventually even though I’ve only been using it about a week. This man came out of the woordworks and created a masterpiece just for the love of the game. ### 5/5 — Exceptional *2026-07-29* As a long-time developer, I have to give credit where it’s due. Absorb is one of those apps that reminds me what great software feels like. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do, but it does it with style, polish, and grace. To me, it’s the little things that separate a good application from an excellent one. The thoughtful design, attention to detail, and smooth user experience show that the developer truly cares about the craft.
