However, the lack of new items from the Hotel update is making it very hard to track items from the new hotel shop, and borderline impossible to trade or sell them. Without them, you don’t notice when someone sends you a message, which means you easily miss important conversations. This makes the app frustrating to use and honestly takes away the fun. This app used to be in the Google play store and was much more lively but now it’s only IOS and subsequently has way less activity. There was an update to the game recently and 0 of the new items are in the app. I understand it takes time but this app seems abandoned. No update from the Facebook page and nothing on the AC fan social media. I suggest using other social platforms for Animal crossing at this time. ### 3/5 — Notifications *2026-02-01, version 1.84* I love this app so much for buying items and visiting other people’s islands. I first used this app about 4 years ago, and recently got back into it. My biggest pet peeve is that notifications no longer work, so your phone doesn’t update you when someone puts in an offer or sends you a message. Please fix this!! It requires you to verify your email but I tried so many times only to get no email sent to me to verify. Can’t really use it until it’s verified but if I can’t verify it then there’s no point in using this. Also tried to delete my account and it instead opened my email to make a message to send to the creators also giving an option to tell them why you want to delete it. Filled out the email and sent it and haven’t gotten any response either. If you’re not going to even manage your app you need to remove it from the App Store. Flagging users doesn’t work. There’s literally no way to report the harassment people go through on here. Won’t load. It is so glitchy because there is constant running ads. I have to remove it and add it to my phone constantly to get it to even load. Doesn’t send notifications sometimes for days. It has got to be one of the worst apps. They say they are fixing stuff for months and it only makes the app worse. As long as you got reported: ban. It’s unfair and their team doesn’t care at all. They will not look into the issue nor even try to. I am not investing my time into an app, giving it the attention it needs to stay alive if it doesn’t care about its consumers. The AC community is really sweet but there are a few bad apples so if they don’t take serious actions against those bad apples, I will not stay to support their app. Unfortunately, it was an easy app to navigate but it’s also to easy to exploit because they don’t care. So I’d recommend you all to reconsider putting your time and money into this app if you’re looking at long term. It’s got the best search features of the other apps I’ve seen, and the island hosting and shops option are great. I do have one suggestion/request: please add a way to reset your item collection. I’ve restarted my island and it would be great to be able to keep track of my items on the app without having to delete my whole current user or start another one, or meticulously go through and undo all of the items I did have from my previous island.
