Really not an okay practice, to increase the price by over 20% and not alert the subscriber. Waste of time using the app just sign in through the web browser. ### 1/5 — Extremely Limited App *2026-01-30, version 1.77* For me, this app has some severe limitations that make in unusable: - The in-app search engine is terrible to the point of being unusable, you must use the exact name of a paper for it to appear - There is no “find” or “search” feature within the papers making it very frustrating to read them - You can’t select text in a paper, which means no copying, highlighting, etc - You can’t download the papers as pdfs to your device - The buttons at the top menu while reading a paper are so small it’s near impossible to click them - The app is constantly trying to sell you the premium version making it slow to navigate Overall, everything you would want about an app-version of this website is not here. You’re better off using the mobile website in a browser and searching for articles using your browser’s search engine. Apparently, the cancellation process requires multiple confirmation steps, which is a misleading UX tactic used to manipulate users. The app has refused to issue a refund.
