### 4/5 — Good app but glitches need fixing

*2024-11-03*

The app is good for basic expense sharing. Please fix these glitches:

1. Comment on an expense cannot be longer than character space if one line. When try to add a comment longer than one line (~35 characters), the app crashes. It freezes up as soon as you exceed character space of one line. This is very irritating. Please fix.

2. The app seems to have an issue with uploading photos as attachments. I can take a photo to add an attachment but the app crashes when I try to upload a photo from photo library. Please fix.

Thanks!

### 1/5 — Awful service

*2024-02-26, version 4.0.8*

awful do not use!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t split bills evenly

*2023-11-26, version 4.0.8*

This app is a great idea but it always splits bills so the same person always pays less when the bills come to an uneven split. Very Annoying.

### 1/5 — Unable to log in - app is crashing - Apple ID Bug

*2023-11-07*

Please help and ill Change my review back to 5 stars!!

I used the app for years on my iPhone XS using Apple ID login with face verification. I recently upgraded my phone to an iPhone 15 pro and when I attempted to Sign in with Apple ID the app crashes immediately. I am not able to log in with an email address bc Apple login uses some cryptic email address so I’ve been unable to access my previous “house”

### 1/5 — Terrible Scheme

*2023-10-20, version 4.0.8*

Appealing levels of service, feel like it has been more stress than it is worth to use ACASA.

We had to constantly argue to have our meter readings taken into consideration and our bills still haven’t been updated.

Also the app won’t let my girlfriend make payments so the app keeps taking her share out of my account.

Had I properly understood acasa beforehand I would never have agreed to enter into a 1 year contract with them.

I feel as though I was misled on the phone about the service they actually provide.

### 4/5 — Notifications

*2023-09-12, version 4.0.8*

Can you please add notifications therefore when our bills are due we get the notification?

### 1/5 — Barely Functioning App

*2023-08-01, version 4.0.8*

Was testing it out and when I went to delete the cost trackers I put in, an error kept coming up.

Wouldn’t let me edit when my tenancy ends either.

Avoid at all cost!

### 3/5 — Functional but lacks transparency

*2023-05-09, version 4.0.8*

The app works quite well but lacks transparency on the breakdown of each service and related cost. It does not provide details on the services like the tv license registered number. The chat is hidden and not intuitive. The company should fix these things.

### 1/5 — Terrible service with terrible app

*2023-05-08, version 4.0.8*

It took over 6 months to have everything set up, and I needed to call literally every provider that Acasa was supposed to handle to sort out something. They got me with delayed water bills as well as no electricity for a few hours.

### 2/5 — Yeah nah!

*2023-02-06, version 4.0.8*

Seemed like a great company at the start but now 16 WEEKS in and bills are ‘still being set up’! No ability to call and talk to a real person. Just bot messaging which takes hours to get back to you!

### 3/5 — Not working with AppleID login

*2022-12-13*

I downloaded my app to my MacBook and signed with my appleID. Next I set up all of our bills and payments and such for the past three months. Then I downloaded the app to my iPhone. Next I tried to sign in again using my appleID and the app failed to open with my account. Using app in the United States.

This app will be extremely helpful keeping track of how far behind my roommate is on bills and rent. I hope all of the glitches are fixed soon.

### 3/5 — Great app but it crashes a lot

*2022-03-08*

I’m on a iPhone 13 pro and every time I go to edit a cost or add a photo the app crashes. Really love the app otherwise and will edit if the problem is fixed.

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2022-02-07, version 4.0.6*

While UI freeze on bill page, dialog can not be dismissed

### 1/5 — Avoid - poor at updating and slow service

*2021-12-20, version 4.0.6*

Avoid

Used Splittable, now acasa, for years with no real issues. App was fine.

The update caused significant issues, especially with migration, meaning I cannot get access to my “house” for a month or so. Created a mess of new accounts, complete failure of an update from my perspective.

In app support is very slow, many hours for a simple request such as help with accessing account. and no phone number that I can see.

Currently waiting on a password reset email - or new email address confirmation email. This is a super basic thing that acasa cannot seem to handle.

Avoid.

### 1/5 — Mrs Williams

*2025-06-01, version 4.0.8*

I’m extremely disappointed with this company. After speaking to a customer service representative and questioning the information I was given, I was completely ignored — no follow-up, no resolution, just silence.

I am now being charged cancellation fees for services I never even had or used. There is no proper way to manage or update anything through the app, and communication from their side has been non-existent. How a company of this size allows such poor service is beyond me.

The whole experience has left me feeling bullied into paying for something I never received. Trying to reach an actual person for help is impossible, leaving customers stressed and helpless.

I would prefer to cancel everything, but I’m worried even that won’t be handled properly, and I’ll continue to be charged despite my repeated efforts to resolve this.

Terrible customer service, zero accountability, and a complete lack of support. Avoid at all costs.

### 1/5 — Great concept but...

*2025-05-07, version 4.0.8*

I think the concept is great & I like the UI but have encountered many bugs while trying to use. Would be 5 stars otherwise

### 1/5 — Overpriced scammers

*2025-04-18, version 4.0.8*

We got overcharged by hundreds of pounds and they claim that’s how much energy we used but it’s a blatant lie. their ‘management fee’ is ridiculous and not disclosed when joining. would highly recommend to avoid this and just do gas and electricity directly with other companies!!

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money on this app

*2025-04-10, version 4.0.8*

Lack of communication to users. We started our policy on 21 February till April 1 there is no confirmation of account. Now suddenly on April 1 we got mail to pay bills from Feb-march which we have paid by ourselves.

### 1/5 — Terrible experince

*2025-04-09, version 4.0.8*

They demand a total of 489 pounds from me and my wife every month. We pay our electricity, water and gas bills ourselves, it does not exceed 200 pounds. I wanted to cancel this application, they imposed a cancellation penalty of 400 pounds. I hated it, I can never find anyone to talk to. I can't cancel. I say I pay my bills myself, but they still charge me with debt.

### 1/5 — Eldous

*2025-04-07, version 4.0.8*

Very Bad Service, they contact you everyday before setting up, after no response and change the plan by themselves, very very bad experience

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2024-10-09, version 4.0.8*

I never give reviews but feel the need to warn people to STAY AWAY from this app. They have not responded to any our calls or emails. They forgot to pay our suppliers for 6 months!! They also heavily over charged us and lied. Finally agreed to close our account and refund us the money we proved we were owed and now surprise surprise we cannot get hold of them!! Absolutely disgusting company with careless staff - stay away is my only suggestion. We WISH someone would have warned us!

### 1/5 — Like the concept but…

*2024-08-25, version 4.0.8*

This is the kind of app I am looking for to keep track of expenses amongst housemates. Haven’t been able to fully use as it crashes every time I want to use photos with the entries. Didn’t have an option through the app to get support for this problem

### 1/5 — Fraud company

*2024-05-22, version 4.0.8*

Totally a rubbery company

### 1/5 — K

*2024-04-08, version 4.0.8*

Very difficult to claim your money back

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Can’t upload images

*2024-09-04, version 4.0.8*

Can’t upload pictures from photo library.
I can upload by taking photo , but when i try to upload pics from photo library, the app is automatically closed. ( I checked the app setting. I allowed photo.)

### 5/5 — KKK

*2024-04-25, version 4.0.8*

Crips

### 5/5 — Great way to manage bills

*2023-07-18, version 4.0.8*

Great way to manage bills with your flatmate

### 5/5 — Great but could do with an update!

*2023-05-03, version 4.0.8*

As I say, great app that does all the work for you when calculating split bills. I would say it needs a bit of a UI update, I would guess it hasn’t changed in about 5(?) years. I know the whole idea is to split bills fairly but it would be good if you could adjust who owes what as not everyone needs to pay the same amount every time. So you end up not using it for anything imbalanced, such as meals where everyone had different things (quite common). But great for exact splits. Would also be good if you could list your account details in the app so that people could pay using that info, rather than asking around. Comments would also be useful for a similar reason. Finally, surely someone should be ‘up’ if they’ve got more money than they should, and ‘down’ on money if they still need to be paid, whereas you guys do it the other way around. I know you’re committed to this now but just seems backwards to me. That’s all I can think of for the moment. Thanks

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2022-05-04, version 4.0.8*

Great app to help you control costs between friends and housemates would recommend

### 5/5 — Useful app

*2022-01-11, version 4.0.6*

We use acasa for sharing the cost of our bills and daily expenses. There are some good deals on internet too so saves the hassle of manually searching for deals elsewhere. Definitely recommend giving it a go!

### 5/5 — Convenient

*2021-12-19, version 4.0.6*

Nice and convenient way to manage spending

### 5/5 — Great App with Helpful Customer Service

*2021-11-29, version v4.0.2*

I have used this app for years and find it so helpful when living in a flat share. Couldn’t be easier to make sure everyone is happy and informed on bills.

I had an issue recently (of my own doing, I managed to set up two accounts and couldn’t login to either of them!) and Ollie in customer service was incredibly quick to respond and sort the problem.

### 5/5 — So helpful for keeping track of household expenses

*2021-11-21, version v4.0.2*

I would consider this app a must-have for households who share/split expenses. I would definitely recommend this app.

We have been using acasa for 4 years now and has been a lifesaver in keeping track of shared household expenses and expenses for items where one house member picks up the item and pays on behalf of another. The recurrent billing options allow you to set up frequency and amount and not have to remember to reenter each month. The app allows you to enter specific $ amounts owed by each member or calculates percentages. Another bonus is that you have the expenses history at your fingertips.

In 4 years we have had only one need to ask for support regarding the app, and that was done very quickly and helpfully, with support even checking in to make sure our issue was solved.

### 5/5 — Great app for easy finances

*2021-11-14, version v4.0.2*

My household are long term users of Acasa and it’s vital to the way we manage our finances. Easy to use with a great UI, it really take the hassle out of splitting costs and keeping track of our spending. And when we’ve had some niggles, their support team have been superbly quick and helpful with a resolution. Highly recommended.
