Well my company have been using Definitiv for a couple of years now, after what seemed to be some amazing marketing thrown at them. Our previous payroll program was working very well but that’s bureaucracy for you. It is awful from a user standpoint. No flexibility if there are flexible hours for entering of timesheets. Will literally get overpaid or underpaid. Payslips are really poor and don’t show important tax information, such as; how much of tax deducted is standard income tax, how much is HELP loan, etc. Just really poor. It’s so hated where I work and the issues are so common and rife that we aren’t allowed to contact payroll direct, we need to go via our Line Managers. Essentially it has created more work for everyone involved and way too many headaches. ### 1/5 — Time clock server request timeout *2024-11-11* App is very glitchy. I have had nothing but trouble when trying to use the time clock with constant server timeout requests. I have deleted the app and reinstalled multiple times. My company emailed Definitiv and their response was much the same, delete the app and reinstall. I have done this again and fail to get further support. Nevertheless, it doesn’t work reliably. It will never ever work if you have staff that are casual hours or part-time, especially if the hours worked aren’t the same each week. For instance, if you are rostered on Monday to Wednesday but one week your employee wants to swap a day worked; your employee can’t just fill in a timesheet for day worked because Definitiv will pay that as overtime/extra hours and require leave to be taken for day swapped out. Bad record keeping capability. Also, the payslips don’t have any breakdown of PAYG tax, just shows lump sum, it should show monies gone to HELP debt, etc. System also regularly mispays employees, so all employees have to scrutinise their payslips each pay cycle. This is the common issues found each pay cycle. People working within the organisation do not understand the complexities of payroll. Customer service is terrible. Response times are terrible for such a critical item as payroll. I’ve noticed that the Leave , working hours and Timesheet functions are not visible or accessible on my Definitiv app. I’ve tried updating the app and checking on different devices, and tried different ways but the options still don’t appear.
