## What is Access Lens?

Compare an original image with simplified color and visual approximations, side by side.

Use the live camera, choose a photo, or start with one of five bundled samples. Drag the vertical divider to reveal more of the original or filtered side.

COLOR APPROXIMATIONS
• Type 1 (P), Type 2 (D), and Type 3 (T)
• Grayscale
• Uses a published research method (Machado 2009)

VISUAL FILTERS
• Blur and cloudy view
• Narrow field and center spot
• Low contrast
• Adjustable strength where supported

ACCESSIBLE COMPARISON
• VoiceOver can adjust the divider in 10% steps
• Layouts adapt to the largest Dynamic Type sizes
• Original-only and filter-only buttons

The results are approximations for awareness and accessibility discussions. They do not exactly reproduce any individual experience, and Access Lens is not a medical tool.

No account, analytics, ads, or server. Camera frames and selected photos are processed on your device. Saving and sharing happen only when you choose them. Every feature is free.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.0 — 2026-10-27

Easier to read, even with larger text. Comparison labels and controls now make room for your preferred text size, so you can comfortably read effect names and adjust their strength. Explore and compare at the size that suits you.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-10-23

The preview now keeps up with you more smoothly. When you use the camera, a large photo, or several effects, Access Lens prioritizes your latest adjustment so comparisons stay responsive.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-10-22

Now you can stack effects.
Combine a color-vision approximation with blur, haze, a narrower field and more, and set the strength of each one. See how a slide or a sign holds up when several kinds of low vision overlap, side by side with the original.
Still free, no account, and everything stays on your device.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-21

Access Lens now speaks your language – 25 of them.
Menus, help and permission prompts are fully translated, so comparing color-vision approximations feels natural wherever you are.
Still free, no account, and everything stays on your device.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-10-19

See how colors may look with color vision differences, side by side with the original.
Compare Type 1 (P), Type 2 (D), Type 3 (T), and grayscale approximations with a draggable divider or VoiceOver.
Try five built-in samples without a camera. Everything is free and processed on device.
