## What is ACCESS?

Your apps stay open. The scroll has a bottom.

ACCESS lets you use chosen apps normally while iOS counts the time you actually spend in them. When your minutes run out, those apps lock for the length you chose. When the lock ends, they open again automatically.

HOW IT WORKS

• Choose the app or apps that eat your time.
• Use them normally — there is no session to start.
• Their real usage shares one minute budget.
• When the budget reaches zero, iOS closes the door.
• When the lock ends, the apps reopen by themselves.

Strict mode is on by default: while it's on, a Lock has no way out — it ends on the clock you chose, then your apps reopen automatically. Turn Strict off and Settings keeps two deliberate exits: "End this Lock early", and a five-minute Emergency unlock that pauses the Lock and lets it finish afterwards.

BASIC

Basic is free forever and includes the complete Balanced cycle for one app:

• Editable usage minutes
• The Balanced lock rule — 15 min of use, 30 min locked
• Live countdown
• Automatic unlock
• Strict mode — on by default, yours to turn off

PRO

Pro adds:

• As many selected apps as you like
• Custom lock lengths
• Up to eight Breaks and eight Quiet-hours schedules
• A daily usage cap
• Month/year history and widgets

Choose Individual Pro for your Apple Account, or Family Pro to share the Pro entitlement with up to five additional members through Apple Family Sharing. Family Sharing shares only the subscription: every member authorizes Screen Time and keeps their own apps, rules and usage private on their device.

SETTING UP FAMILY PRO

1. The purchaser needs an Apple Family Sharing group with purchase sharing turned on (iOS Settings → Family).
2. Purchase Family Pro on the purchaser's Apple Account.
3. Each family member installs ACCESS with their own Apple Account, opens it, and allows Screen Time.
4. Pro unlocks automatically; Restore Purchases in the app is the fallback.

The purchaser controls sharing and billing. A family member can also buy their own separate plan at any time.

Eligible Apple IDs may receive a three-day trial. Introductory-offer eligibility applies once across the ACCESS Pro subscription group, whether you choose Individual or Family. Apple shows the exact plan, local price, trial eligibility and renewal terms before confirmation.

YOUR WEEK, WITHOUT MADE-UP SAVINGS

ACCESS shows Screen Time information measured by iOS and literal events it recorded on your phone, including automatic Locks and Break starts. It does not turn Lock duration into a fictional “time saved” number.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN

ACCESS asks for Screen Time permission so iOS can count and shield the apps you select. Apple gives ACCESS opaque selection tokens instead of a readable list for collection or upload. There is no account, advertising, analytics or ACCESS server. Your settings and event history stay on your phone.

ACCESS is for people managing their own iPhone. It is not parental-control software.

### 5/5 — A simple idea that really makes a difference

*2026-08-26*

The app is beautifully designed, simple to understand, and feels like a thoughtful way to build healthier screen habits without completely taking away your freedom. You can tell a lot of care went into creating it. Definitely worth trying!

### 5/5 — Excellent productivity booster!

*2026-08-23*

This apps tracks the time you spend on various categories of apps, and lets you fine tune when you want to block them. Love how you can block the app after access for some time, my fav setting blocking for 30 mins after 15 mins of continuous access. You can fully customize your limits spare some fun time on weekends. It’s a simple and effective productivity booster and must have for anyone looking to curb distractions and stay focused!

### 5/5 — Real locks, real results

*2026-08-17*

This app actually works — the locks are real, not just a timer that’s easy to ignore. Setting limits on distracting apps has genuinely cut down my screen time. Simple to set up and does exactly what it promises. Highly recommend if you’ve tried other screen time apps that let you bypass the limits too easily.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-25

The Family plan is here.

• Family Pro — one subscription, shared with up to five family members through Apple Family Sharing. Sharing covers Pro access only: everyone keeps their own apps, rules and usage private on their own device.
• Strict mode: on by default, a Lock has no way out until it ends. Turn Strict off to keep two deliberate exits in Settings — "End this Lock early", and an Emergency unlock that pauses a Lock for five minutes.
• Lock lengths are shown as plain durations — "30 min", never "2×".
• Breaks (formerly open hours), a simpler setup, and an AM/PM clock face.
• Reliability work throughout: counting, shields and widgets survive restarts and edge cases better than ever.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-14

Fixes and reliability:
• Choosing a whole category (like Social) now works and is labelled clearly.
• Opening your app list no longer resets the usage count.
• Locking is more reliable, with a backup check if iOS misses the final minute.
• If iOS reports minutes that could not have happened, ACCESS now keeps your apps open and asks you to retry — never locks you incorrectly.
• Stats shows only measured Screen Time and literal recorded events.
• Clearer trial and pricing details — Apple always shows the exact local price before you confirm.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-12

A daily cap (Pro): one ceiling for the whole day, 4am to 4am. Your minutes come back after every lock — this doesn't.
The minute count is now exact. Late-arriving reports from a retired schedule are thrown away instead of counted.
Stats now shows Apple's own per-app numbers for your chosen apps only, with real icons — and the totals say plainly they cover all your apps together.
A Home Screen and Lock Screen widget shows whether your apps are open and for how long.
“Unlock everything” says how long it opens things for, and takes the same short breath as ending a lock early.
Clearer Screen Time permission step, with a way back if you tapped Don't Allow.

### 1.0 — 2026-08-06
