The Accessible Solitaire app has been designed to provide a fun experience for all players. For players who are blind or partially sighted, the iOS VoiceOver screen reader announces details of the playing cards as you move through the game, and the app includes several in-app features to help make the contents of the cards easier to see. Using speech at the game together with the iOS Voice Access feature, or using a switch device together with the iOS Switch Access feature, means can all playing cards can be moved around the game using either speech or a switch. First in the Klondike Solitaire game, a card is moved using the VoiceOver screen reader. After the move is complete, VoiceOver announces available moves in the game. Then VoiceOver is turned off, Voice Control is turned on, and a card is moved using voice input. Then Voice Control is turn off, Switch Control is turned on, and a card is moved using an Xbox Adaptive Controller. Then still using Switch Control, the app moves to a game of Pyramid Solitaire, and a card is discarded from the pyramid using the Xbox Adaptive Controller. Then Switch Control is turned off, Voice Control is turned on and cards are discarded from the pyramid using voice input. Then Voice Control is turned off, VoiceOver is turned on, and the game play continues using VoiceOver. Also, if you wouldn't mind, please include the Model Name and OS Version shown in your device's Settings-General-About page. ### 4.10 — 2026-05-30 Version 4.10 includes a new Menu item called "Your device". When you click this, a popup appears showing the model and other details of the device which is running the Accessible Solitaire app. These details will help if you contact me because the app's not behaving as expected. For example, I was recently contacted by a player who let me know that the app was crashing every time a game of Royal Parade solitaire was restarted. The player's device is an iPhone 12, so I've adjusted the app when the Royal Parade solitaire game is restarted on an iPhone 12 in order to avoid this crash. Please note also that the press-and-hold action on cards to have large pop-ups of the card appear, has been proving unreliable and interfering with playing the game. So I've temporarily removed the press-and-hold feature from the app until it can be made more reliable. ### 4.9 — 2026-04-06 Version 4.9 includes improvements to the initial layout of the cards in a number of the solitaire games in the app. To learn more about the app, please visit https://accessiblesolitaire.com ### 4.5 — 2026-03-15 Version 4.5 updates the auto-complete feature for the Klondike game, where under certain circumstances the game will auto-complete and does not require you to move all the face-up dealt cards up to the target card piles.
