### 4/5 — There's better!

*2012-07-31*

This app is good. But they have made a better app from the same company. It has both dictionary and phrase book.

### 4/5 — English-Spanish Dictionary

*2012-03-03*

Me gusta mucho! Trabaja como dice.

### 4/5 — Really like the app for the money

*2011-03-14*

Works great for me on the fly, especially when I need a word in a hurry!

### 4/5 — Great and easy to use

*2011-01-18, version 1.0.5*

I'm an 8th grade Spanish student and this is without question the best Spanish translator app I have seen. It's very easy to switch between Spanish English and English Spanish. Best of all though, it doesn't require wifi, which is important to any other iPod touch users out there

However the translator doesn't let you type in multiple words like "to use the computer, which is a bit problematic, but it's still a good app

### 4/5 — Ap

*2011-01-17, version 1.0.5*

Love it, pretty awesome and it was well worth the money!

### 5/5 — Fantastic.

*2010-09-01*

Yes voice pronunciation would be nice, but this app rocks anyway. It has so many definitions; if you search "speak" it will give you five ways to say that, and then tell you how to say "speak hoarsely, speak quietly, speak loudly, speak deeply," and much more! It's database is VAST.

### 4/5 — Good

*2010-08-28*

Very practical and user friendly. I like the swab bottom but It would have been great with voice pronouncing.

### 4/5 — Conjugations

*2010-08-22*

Why do a lot of words not contain the full list if conjugations? What are we supposed to assume when there's an ellipsis?

### 5/5 — Accio

*2010-06-17*

I like this type of dictionaries, but I would like wheter, make up a dictionary Italian English that would be great
Thank you

### 5/5 — Leave the paper book at home!

*2009-11-18*

I highly recomend this app. As a student taking spanish in school, this has greatly improved my learning experience.

With offline refereance of endless possibilties, I highly reccomed this app.

PS - the phrasebook is a seperate app that you need to buy, it's not a bug. Regardless, for such a cheap price you cannot buy a paperback book with this information, little alone with instant results!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not impressive

*2011-12-28*

I'm really disappointed with this app.. The first 3 words I wrote, it did not find translation . I'm mad and I want my money back it is not worth it!!.
Please don't lie to the people !!!. I really need a translator !!!

### 1/5 — Ridiculous days of week do not exist

*2011-01-29, version 1.0.5*

Should have read reviews first. I needed to look up Friday. It knows friary. Great! Many of us using quick app translation need basic language.

### 2/5 — Limited

*2012-07-15*

It does translate many words, and conveniently doesn't require a network connection to do so.

However, on a recent trip to Argentina, it couldn't find the word I was looking for in about one in ten searches. Also, it can't handle phrases or idioms, even the most common ones.

This would be a good value if it was free or even 99 cents. At $4 it is a poor value.

### 2/5 — Doesn't rotate

*2012-03-28*

It works great. It recognizes words and helps me learn infinitives, but the app doesn't rotate. It only works up and down ( vertical ) not side by side. With the way the iPad cases designed, this app is extremely uncomfortable.m

### 2/5 — no screen shift

*2011-09-01*

This app was apparently redesigned for the iPad, but it does not even have the ability to switch orientation from portait view, making it a pain for those who might want to set it up with the iPad cover, or use it while switching back and forth between reading in landscape view. I may not learn how useful it is in terms of words because this bais feature gap is so annoying.

### 2/5 — Month & day names missing

*2010-12-01*

The first word I looked up was "December." Never heard of it. Ditto with names of other months, and days of the week. Luckily, it recognizes really useful words like "monody."

### 2/5 — Wait for the update!

*2009-10-05*

The phrasebook doesn't work at all. It seems like a bug. Please fix!

### 3/5 — Works well but limited

*2012-01-21*

I love that it lets you choose the part of speech of the word you are looking up so you dont have to sift through too much in the definition. I also love how fast it is and straightforward the definitions are.

But I really wish it had example sentences like some of the other apps do. The history function is ok , but a favorites would be better.

### 3/5 — Disappointment

*2011-08-13*

This was a great app until the new update. The default language used to be the last one used, now it's always English. If you start clicking definitions forward you can't do a new search without going back, back, etc to the search page. There is no new search button. I find myself using this dictionary less and less. The new version is a disappointment. Please bring back the last version.

### 3/5 — Need more words

*2010-08-16*

My native language is Spanish and I have problems when a I'm looking for some English's meaning word and idiomatic expressions. There's also no meanings for slang's words.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Amazing!!!!

*2011-12-05, version 2.0.1*

It works perfectly and is super helpful.no glitches to report.also I'm curious why people are saying there are no days of the week.....

### 5/5 — The best of its kind

*2011-10-08*

Always in my main screen in my ipod, very useful and practical, hope you continue improving this app guys you've done a very good job.

### 5/5 — Lifesaver

*2011-10-07*

Got this when I arrived in Valencia and realised nobody spoke English. Incredibly useful!

### 5/5 — Stellar

*2011-08-25*

Great product. Verb parts are identified, full definitions, quick - love it. Thanks,

### 5/5 — Im Impressed...

*2011-04-04, version 1.0.5*

Ok, this ap is NOT for beginners. Ppl r complaining about it not having days of the week but if you're an intermediate speaker, u should already know these... Aside from that, EVERY noun/adjective/verb I have looked up, the dictionary had it. Overall, im impressed. No crashes and it loads in a flash. Its a great carry around electronic span/eng dictionary and well worth the 2 bucks!

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2011-03-31, version 1.0.5*

I really like this app! It is very helpful with troublesome words! Just a note for some people: This is a dictionary, not Google Translate! It only works for single words! Yes, I see you Spanish 1(or 2) student. No cheating on your homework for you!

All joking aside, this is a wonderful dictionary and is well worth the price! Just so you know in the future if you can't remember the days of the week, lunes, martes, miercoles, jueves, viernes, sabado, domingo. (Sorry, no accents!)

### 5/5 — Great app for intermediate!

*2011-03-28, version 1.0.5*

This app has been very helpful! I am currently living in a Spanish-speaking country and the last time I studied Spanish was 10 years ago. I know basic Spanish and this has been incredibly helpful for my level! Highly recommended and worth the money.

Best part is that you don't have to be connected to wifi. It will also pick up on some phrases when you search!

### 5/5 — Well worth the money

*2011-01-06, version 1.0.5*

Runs great, very fast even on the old 1st gen iPhone.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2010-10-10*

This is the best ever done. Soy Dominicano y como saben de habla española. Califico este programa com lo mejor que se ha hecho. Y miren que probé muchos.

### 5/5 — Incredibly Useful and User-Friendly!

*2010-09-14*

I purchased this app to use in my college Spanish course. It has been SO valuable and has paid for itself many times over in the amount of time it has saved me.
Features I love:
-Works regardless if whether or not I'm connected to the Internet.
-Is much faster than paging through a paper dictionary. SO much faster!
-Very responsive -- it loads and searches quickly.
-When searching for a Spanish word, it brings up many options and narrows them down as you search.
-Last and best of all, I appreciate that I can search for a word and if it is a conjugation of a verb that I don't recognize it shows the relationship to the infinitive. For example: if I type in conozco it would say conozco --> conocer. So great!

Thanks for a great app!
