It is moderately helpful. The search features are the opposite of user-friendly, and the app itself is fairly cumbersome to use. I mainly use it for language analysis, and yet I find that Sefaria often works more smoothly for Hebrew searches than this app does. Apps should be intuitively designed. One should not need to watch hours and hours of videos and spend weeks reading online articles and forums, effectively taking a whole self-study course in how to use the app just in order to do relatively basic searches. The entire app needs to be redesigned. And no, this does not at all mean that AI should be incorporated into the app like Logos has done. Just make the app easier to use and more intuitive—especially the search features, but also just the basic navigation which right now is fairly cumbersome. ### 2/5 — Continues to go downhill *2026-06-03, version 3.5.1* I’ve been using Accordance is the 1990s when it was still on floppy disks. Accordance was once the best Bible software available, especially if you wanted to do work in the original languages. The quality of their software has been in consistent decline for years. Updates are becoming less frequent. Endless errors in their cross-reference hyperlinks. Even doing a simple word search has become almost pointless. The list poor quality could be made longer. Also, the prices for digital copies of books is downright outrageous. If I wasn’t so heavily invested in Accordance software I’d like switch to another company. ### 3/5 — Please fix this bug!! *2026-05-06, version 3.5.1* I love Accordance on iPhone and iPad. I use it a lot. But since the last major update, search defaults to VERSE rather than FLEX and context to ALL rather than NONE. This makes searches VERY cumbersome. I contacted support and was told this would be fixed with the next update. That was several months ago. Surely I’m not the only one? And surely a minor bug fix shouldn’t take many months? My rating will go back to 5 when this one is fixed. ### 2/5 — Close but no cigar *2026-03-26, version 3.5.1* Need to look at Logos before spending any money on this app. Rarely update their software. Be careful of the glowing reviews. I’m not saying Accordance is bad, I have it, it just isn’t even in the same game as Logos. ### 3/5 — Glitchy. Lacks features. Improved syncing to cloud. *2026-03-19, version 3.5.1* The app has potential. It has struggled with bugs so often it can be very frustrating. The features are limited compared to working with the full software. For instance, I cannot edit my user tools in the iPad app. Downloading modules can be infuriating. It doesn’t work even half of the time. Especially if you want to do it in large batches. Also, in user tools or certain modules, you cannot open a copy of the scriptures side by side. I’m honestly not sure about the future of Accordance. Logos has run so far ahead of them it’s not even close. But where Accordance shines, it is superior. My iPad crashes every time I try to run it. Of course once the bugs are out, it will again deserve its 4.5 rating……Now I’m having issues with iOS 26.3. My New Interpreter’s Bible OT & Apocrypha module crashes the app when I try to load it, though NT loads with no problems. I reported it a few weeks ago; don’t know how long until it is fixed. It consistently makes Bible reference and search quick and easy. I can look up information while leading a class discussion without lags or buffering time getting in the way. I can have the Greek side by side with the English and changing versions is a breeze without losing the other side. I use it on an ipad and it's good but you lose some of bells & whistles, the tools, by not being on a PC. Overall I have been happy with it for almost 10 years now. I currently cannot sync notes or highlights between devices. With Logos, on the other hand, it’s always quite intuitive where stuff is and how to do things. I regret having spent so much money on Accordance. With the update of the desktop version of Accordance, multiple users, myself included, report that it is no longer possible to sync the iOS and desktop apps. It was announced in advance that sync with Dropbox would no longer be available with Accordance 14, but nothing else works either. Tech support is poor. ### 1/5 — Crippled Software OS v14.1, iOS v3.5 *2025-11-03, version 3.5.0* This was a fabulous application for people who wanted to study the Scriptures in depth especially as they travelled. Since changes to the method this application now uses to sync between devices I have been unable to sync. This has resulted in multiple files that are now different in their contents and made the application useless for those of us who rely on their iOS devices for their travelling to different communities. In constant communication with support staff I have no solution in sight. I have invested thousands of dollars in this application and been an unpaid evangelist of this application and the company and personnel who produce the application. Even to the point where I have purchased starting packages and given them away to others. It just displays the EULA and sits there. No menu option can allow you to clear the display of the EULA. Sad as this was commented that it works on a MAC. Nope, try Olive Tree, but Olive Tree won’t let you copy search results in totality to Word, you have to do it one result by one. Some suggest Logos, I haven’t tried that yet. ### 1/5 — After All of These Years Why Are We Still Having to Write Code to do Tagged Searches??!! *2025-10-07, version 3.5.0* Accordance is an app full of potential. Unfortunately, it often feels like the developers haven’t stopped to think through the obvious. Accordance surpasses Logos in one major area—its ability to perform Greek and Hebrew tagged searches. Yet for some reason, the mobile experience still feels unnecessarily complicated. Instead of streamlining these searches for quick, intuitive use, it still requires users to type in awkward code-like syntax—something most people aren’t trained to do.
