## What is Accorduon?

Accorduon turns iPhone Duo into a piano accordion. Hold it half open like a book, one hand on each side, and open and close it the way you'd work an accordion's bellows. The hinge is the bellows: the faster you move it, the more air the reeds get, and the louder and brighter they sound. Stop at the end of a stroke and the air fades, so you reverse, just as on a real accordion.

THE INSTRUMENT
• Bass buttons on the left screen, the piano keyboard on the right, and the bellows along the fold.
• Up to 72 Stradella bass buttons: counterbass, bass, and major, minor, seventh, and diminished chords.
• Up to 44 treble keys, with tight, standard, or spacious key spacing.
• Seven treble registers: Bassoon, Clarinet, Piccolo, Violin, Musette, Oboe, and Master. Two bass registers: Full and Soft.
• Reeds that respond to the air as you play, with recorded accordion reeds in the Musette register.
• Slide across the keys for a glissando.
• Musette tuning presets, transpose, concert pitch, reverb, and bass/treble balance.
• Note names on the keys and buttons: letters (C D E), German (H, B), or solfège (Do Re Mi).
• Choose the lowest note, the order of the bass rows, and which way the keyboard runs: low notes at the top, as on an accordion, or at the bottom, as on a piano.
• Four looks: Rosso, Nero, Verde, and Steampunk.

COMPACT MODE
Accorduon also plays on other iPhone models, and on iPhone Duo when it's closed, in a compact layout. Choose where the air comes from: drag the bellows strip between the two sides, rock the phone, or choose Auto for steady air whenever you hold a note.

THE PLAYER ACCORDION
Like a player piano, Accorduon can play by itself. Load one of 22 public-domain songs on the player roll, from waltzes, polkas, and marches to jigs and folk tunes, and watch the keys and buttons move. You supply the air: with Roll needs air on, the song moves only while you pump the bellows. Play along by hand, change the tempo, or loop a song. On iPhone Duo, the roll window shows the notes passing by, and you can drag it to wind the paper by hand.

Songs include The Blue Danube, Ode to Joy, Greensleeves, Santa Lucia, Over the Waves (Sobre las olas), Korobeiniki, Kalinka, and Auld Lang Syne.
