After the app I’d used for several years stopped syncing properly, I switched to this one and it has restored my sanity. Not only does Account Tracker Pro give me the same balance on each of my devices (unlike the previous app), the interface is very easy to use, and I can keep track of my expenses with a number of different reports. The other nice thing was that I was able to import my data from the other app with just a little bit of time spent in formatting the data prior to import. I would also like to give a big shout out to the easy to understand, thorough user guide that explains most everything. An easy to use User Interface, Manual & Automatic transaction reconciliation, the ability to make Split Category (and subcategory) transactions for Daily and Recurring formats, Budget & Detail reports, the ability to make multiple accounts in multiple currencies, iCloud & Dropbox Back-up/Syncing for multiple devices all free for the cost of this very inexpensive app. But best of all, it offers the ability to look ahead on your recurring transactions to alert you if you're running short before the end of the month. Oh, and one more thing, it also supports Apple Watch! I’ve been looking for one that could do what I needed but most focus only on incomings and outgoings. This one also lets you move your money from one account to another and you can hide your totals for certain accounts too if you don’t want that as part of your budget… ie, your pension savings that can’t be touched until you retire! - Excellent app! Looking for a basic register to reconcile and unable to accomplish even that. $5 down the drain ### 1/5 — Can’t sync to another device *2020-08-31, version 6.1.3* Since other reviews report the ease of syncing the primary and secondary devices, I’ll assume that my inability to sync owes to operator error. And yet I can read, and I did meticulously follow the sync instructions. So maybe my inability to sync owes partly to operator error and partly to incomplete instructions??? ### 1/5 — Useless sync *2017-03-05, version 5.2.1* Don't buy the desktop version Total waste of AUD $22 nothing can make it work ### 2/5 — Mixed Emotions *2020-12-24, version 6.4* This app is fine on the primary device but useless trying to get it synced up with a secondary device. Constant, constant issues!! Thought for a paid app this would be better but it’s not, flushing more money down the toilet with this one. ### 3/5 — Disappointing *2020-04-16* Like many, I suspect, I turned to this after years (and years...) of using Pocketmoney: but rather wish I hadn’t. It lacks even the sophistication of the very earliest versions of the latter. Unless I’m completely missing something it lacks at the ability to “split” transactions. More significantly, the budgeting options are poor. You can’t run annual budgets, let alone mix monthly with annual and there’s no roll-over option. There are only 3 options for when to begin the financial year (why?), and no way I can see of “clearing” items which is helpful when reconciling accounts. I paid for the “pro” update thinking that might have more options, but alas no. There may be apps that over-complicate personal finance but this is underpowered for even my basic needs. **Developer response:** The app supports splits, tap the category button when adding a transaction. To change the budget period, tap the date at the top. You can use any dates you want by changing the custom dates. The app has three built in years covering the UK, US and many other countries. No-one has asked for more. You can reconcile transactions manually. See the user guide for details of all of these questions. ### 4/5 — Very polished *2025-02-06, version 7.3.1* I’ve only one, but major complaint. When updating account balances, no calculation is made to debit/credit previous balance. No doubt a great way to track daily transactions but this app is less than ideal to track balances or net worth alone. This is because updates made over time do not reflect the changes made. I’m simply left with a current balance and no balance history. I suppose I could manually calculate the difference but this is far too tedious with multiple accounts. When updating an account balances, a simple, “Would you like to enter the difference as a debit/credit to the account?” would be a simple fix to allow more detailed, long term account tracking. ### 4/5 — Love love love this app just wish it could cross platforms *2024-04-18, version 7.2.1* I am in love with this app. I’ve been using it for a solid 10 years. The only issue I have is that I wish my husband (who has a Google phone) could use it on his phone and have it connected to the same one I have. It would eliminate him having to text me every time he spends money. So that’s the only issue. Other than that, it’s the best money recording app I’ve found! ### 4/5 — Good app, needs just a tweak or two *2017-01-06, version 5.2.1* I had been a user of iReconcile for several years until the lack of updates made it impossible to use. I have tried several other checkbook type apps. I’m not interested in a Mint type app. My investments and longer term finances are all covered elsewhere. I just want to track day to day spending and sync with different users/devices. Perhaps because I had used the same app previously, I didn’t really take to any of the others I tried but after a couple of weeks I really like Account Tracker Pro. First, the Dropbox sync works really well, it is easy to set up and syncs quickly. Next, transaction entries are pretty easy, although you have to save a couple extra times while entering a transaction if what you are entering hasn’t been previously entered. Also, it would be nice if you could re-order transactions on the same date. Overall just minor annoyances. Everything else seems pretty intuitive. Lastly, I emailed the developer, Graham Haley a couple times with questions early on. He responded quickly and has put out an update in the couple of weeks I’ve been using the app. Hopefully this bodes well going forward. Overall, a good app! ### 5/5 — Fully reliable, quick and clear package *2026-07-21, version 7.3.2* I have been using over 10 years, with now over 32,600 transactions and performance is still excellent. It never faults and records spending and income perfectly. My partner and I sync from the same account, and we are able to track all of our spending and financial commitments across many accounts - Credit Cards x4, Current Accounts x3, Savings, Mortgage and loans. We can see outgoings up to 12 months ahead. It is really the only reason I stick with an Apple phone, as the app is not available on Android.
