Many years ago I used Microsoft money and started using this when that was discontinued. It is so easy to set up recurring payments, so you can see the balances of all your accounts at any time. It has two categories per transaction making reports really helpful. You can group accounts, so I have a credit card group for example which allows group reporting. When living in another country it seamlessly coped with multiple currencies. Best is being able to sync across more than 1 device meaning both devices are always up to date. ### 5/5 — V5 to V7 *2025-01-01, version 7.3* Recently upgraded from version 5 to version seven and the upgrades are fantastic and the sync works perfect without having to mess around with additional accounts ### 5/5 — Superb app *2024-11-10, version 7.2.2* This is simply the best Finance and Budgeting app on the App Store. I use it every day to manage my finances which are spread across several bank accounts & credit cards. It never ceases to amaze me how clever the developer is and how he grasps the reality of modern money management. The app does everything it's supposed to and more I haven't even tried to do yet. It is simply brilliant and if you haven't downloaded it yet, why not? ### 5/5 — Excellent Finance App (Follow Up Review) *2024-09-10* I reviewed this app in 2017 and again in 2023, but since I have now been using it continuously since Jan 2013 (nearly 12 years) I feel obligated to the developer to submit another glowing review. It is the perfect finance app for me. I enter my expenses and income daily. It is quite simple and intuitive. It generates just enough reports to work for me. I use it at year's end to gather together all the information I'll need for my CPA to prepare my tax returns. On rare occasions, especially when I first began using the app, I contacted the developer for support and he was very accommodating and responsive. I can't say enough good about this app and how practical and valuable it has been to me over these past nearly 12 years. ### 5/5 — Brilliant *2024-08-02, version 7.2.2* A wonderful app that hides a lot of power and flexibility under a clear and intuitive UI. I’ve used it for years to manage my money, and I couldn’t manage without it. ### 5/5 — Great app, and well supported *2024-06-22* It was so hard for me to find a checkbook app that was both simple and feature-rich. This app strikes that balance beautifully. No unnecessary frills, but all of the functionality that I need. Syncing between all my devices is a breeze (iPhone, iPad, and 2 MacBook Pros). I view and edit on all of these devices and have never had any issues. I can also tell that the developer takes pride in his work. This isn’t an app that was made 5 years ago and never touched since. It is constantly maintained and improved upon. Well done! I highly recommend giving this app a try if you’re looking for a well made checkbook app. The subscription cost is almost nothing, and you also get a free trial to try it out. ### 5/5 — Best personal finance app in the UK *2024-04-16, version 7.2.1* I’ve been using this app since Accountz app folded. I wish I had discovered it years before. It is so easy to use and the author is so responsive to any queries. I use it to track all my finances and for future planning too ! Thank you Graham for a well thought out app - take it from me it has made a huge difference to how I look after my money and is one of the main reasons I will always have an IPhone ! ### 5/5 — Fantastic (a small suggestion however…) *2023-04-02, version 6.9.2* Seeing as most credit cards apply X% interest per month and bill you Y, it would be amazing to have the ability to automatically adjust balances per month based on X and set up recurring payments at Y% each month. This would avoid the need to check bank statements and manually input. Great app on the whole! 🙌🏼 ### 5/5 — Awesome App *2023-03-14, version 6.9.2* I have been using a Microsoft money program on my laptop since 2000. This app works in the same way but more up to date. I find it invaluable, very easy to use and setup. Great value for money at the price. There is a link to send me an email right at the top of the support page. ### 1/5 — Purchased the app now it’s asking for subscription *2021-07-07, version 6.7* The app won’t restore the purchase and is asking fir a subscription. Don’t download this app. ### 1/5 — CSV import error *2015-04-14* Import error Row2, incorrect column count ( should be 8) **Developer response:** Yes, that means your CSV file wasn't in the format the app expects. Seems like a simple savings account tracking device. Worthless. Not what I expected nor wanted. Rating 0. **Developer response:** It doesn't say anything about tracking a portfolio of stocks! ### 1/5 — Frustrating upload of transactions *2012-08-04, version 3.8.2* When I purchased this app it promised an upload of a csv file which I can get from my bank statements. I noted that I needed to change the format to suit the application but after numerous reviews I still couldn't get the statements to upload. After 3 hours of trying to make this work and a massive headache I gave up in frustration. This looks like a really good app once you have the data in, but I couldn't get the data uploaded and so I felt a little cheated. ### 2/5 — Update *2020-07-18, version 5.9.5* The recent update has included changes to the colour of reconciled/non reconciled transactions. Why? This has made it very confusing when trying to determine which transactions are or are not reconciled. You changed something that didn’t need changed and actually made it less user friendly. ### 2/5 — Doesn't track accounts at all *2015-01-20, version 4.5.1* You manually have to add all of the information yourself. Other apps scan your bank accounts and update the details for you to review. ### 2/5 — Not working *2014-09-19* Not working in iOS 8 ### 2/5 — No option for transferring from free to paid version *2012-04-08* First I was using the free version which has a limitation of 25 entry and once it was complete it ask to purchase. But the problem is no option for merging those entry from free version. I found you have to start from scratch for paid version again which is kind of very bad thing. One more thing they should told you at free version about the limitation of 25 entry....... Otherwise i find the software useful for keeping track of your finance. **Developer response:** Old review, but you have always been able to copy your data and settings from the FREE version (from the setting screen). ### 3/5 — New changes not good *2020-12-18, version 5.9.7* Have always liked this app but really don’t like that reconciled payments remain red rather than turning grey or similar. When reconciling items against my statement I look for the amount and need to distinguish reconciled from unreconciled amounts. I’m sure this has changed. I looked for a good while on the App Store. Most apps were either bloated, too costly, too complicated etc. I then came across this one which I felt was worth the £1.79/year. It does the job beautifully, and as a bonus it seamlessly backs up to iCloud. Which is great. I was married to one however but he went blind and I had to start doing the accounting…to the penny. I continue to do that and this app is the best one I’ve used.
