Taxnote is a simple accounting app with no registration needed.  Quick data entry requires only a few taps and you can export your data into spreadsheets like Excel.

### 2/5 — Bad update. App to discontinue in 2027.

I’ve been using this app for years, just to keep track of monthly spending. I don’t need much function and it’s been working out with this simplistic app. However, the recent update did not make any sense.  I’m a designer and it felt like a designer wanted to make the app pretty - without thinking user experience. The +-x/ button is now up in the corner and tiny tiny tiny. Fonts are smaller than what takes to be readable (the buttons are 25 times the size of the numbers). I appreciate the app for being useful for years, but the recent update was not necessary. They are discontinuing the app in June 2027.

I have been using this app for 2 years, so far so good. It’s very easy to record every business transaction into designated categories. It has all the features I need without feeling overwhelmed like some other accounting apps. The year-end tax prep becomes a breeze with this app. I really love Taxnote, wishing it’ll stay forever.

have been using Taxnote app for a while and it is simple and easy to use for daily expense and tax tracking. However, I faced a big problem recently — I backed up my data using the app’s backup feature, but when I tried to restore or open the backup file, it did not work. The file either shows an error or does not open at all.

This is very concerning because all my important tax and expense data is stuck in the backup and I cannot access it. I tried to contact support but did not get a helpful response.

Please fix this issue as soon as possible and provide a reliable solution to restore or open backup data. Data security and access are very important for finance apps.

I had been using this simple bookkeeping app for several years. Then one day I opened it and all but my first year’s entries were gone. FAQ mentioned only PAID subscription would save data so I subscribed. Now 2 years further and my data is gone. No English support seems available.

アップデートして、レイアウトの大幅な変更、入力時の動作の改変、課金ユーザーなのに復元できない等のたくさんの問題が生じています。私の場合、課金情報が引き継がれず、15件の入力制限に引っかかるようになりました。バックアップをとって、再インストールしたところ、幸い正常に動作するようになりましたが、いずれにせよ前のバージョンの方が操作感は良かったと思います。（入力した事項ではなく日付が新しい事項に勝手に移動したり、備考欄に数字を入力したい時に789のキーパッドしか見えないとか、改悪としか言えません。）ダウングレードすることはできないのでしょうか？

おそらくアップデート後からですが

「問題が発生しました。
想定外のエラーが発生しました。問題から回復できないため、アプリを終了させます。
症状をサポートセンターに連絡して、対応の確認をお勧めします。」

と表示されアプリが落ちます。
対応よろしくお願いいたします。

とても使いづらくなったので元に戻してほしいです。

レイアウト変更だけなら耐えられますが、
文字が無駄に小さくなったせいなのかタップしても反応しないことが多いです。

日付選ぶ部分と、金額入力のところだけでも元に戻してほしいです…

使いやすさで選んでいたので残念です。

起動すると「想定外のエラーが発生しました」と表示されそれ以上続ける事が出来ません。サポートに連絡しようにも、アプリが起動しないことには連絡が出来ません。再起動かけても変わらず、ここからしか連絡する術が無いのに一カ月待っても回答を頂けませんでした。有料版を購入して数年愛用していたぶん非常に遺憾です。

Taxnote used to be clean, simple, and easy to use for business bookkeeping. They just did an update, making it practically unusable. The search function always fails, I can no longer search for specific expenses or customer orders.  This is a mess. I no longer feel confident about this bookkeeping, so I will have to cancel and find a new one.

エラーが出たらiPhoneの電源を切って再起動。私はコレで使えるようになりました。
