It randomly will switch to Fahrenheit despite the app and phone settings being Canada and Celsius. Stays that way then after doing a reboot or double check my settings it goes back to Celsius. Then, again randomly, it acts like it’s just been installed and I need to open the app to start using the widget. It uses a lot of data. Has a ton of ads! It does not give accurate rain or temperature forecasts. So what is this app good for? Unfortunately they take the sky is falling for all alerts. Flooding, high winds, hail, extreme temperatures, etc. Very seldom does the US weather service have these warning but AccuWeather seems to put them out everyday. The repeated prompts, interruptions, and aggressive messaging in the mobile app felt less like customer engagement and more like harassment. They significantly interfered with simply checking the weather. I have decided to stop using the app—and cancel my subscription, if applicable—because of this experience. Please share this feedback with your mobile product and leadership teams. An app should respect its users rather than repeatedly pressure or interrupt them. Love the app hate the pressure and not worth it ### 1/5 — Latest Screw Up *2026-08-21, version 21.0.24* With the latest update, the app will no longer open the right way even after force closing it and then reopening. And not to mention that the app doesn't work based on geographic location unless you pay for it but you can't see what the weather is like where you are at or even while driving, which for truckers like myself, would be awesome to have that. I see multiple reports from various other sources that show good air when this app has been in the purple danger zone for a year now in parts of Pacific Mexican coast. ### 1/5 — Fails To Open, Only Shows Background With No Information - PAID VERSION *2026-08-18, version 21.0.24* Since the update prior to Version 21.0.24, the Accuweather App does not show any information, only its background. After trashing this prior version and subsequently downloading and installing Version 21.0.24, no information shows, only the background. (MacBook Air M1 OS 26.6.2). I have relied on this app for years and upgraded to the PAID VERSION (yearly) several months ago. Furthermore, there is no User Guide (User Manual) nor instructions for use. As a dissatisfied payor, please fix this app and make it useful. To other potential customers, do not waste your money as I did.
