You have to either shut it off and reopen it or tap the screen, the game will deal the cards but is still froze. Gotta be asynchronous play of course cause most of us are on the go. Also a design a profile avatar like someone mentioned before would be nice; more themed boards too would make this app absolutely perfect. Five stars if this ever happens. Was annoyed today when it wouldn’t even turn on while waiting for my wife while in Walmart! Got home and it worked fine! Must have been limited cell service in building? My only wish is for a chance to SEE where I missed counting since I use the “expert” method where I do my own counting. There are a ton of video ads so if you like the get, you'll probably end up removing them. I understand the need for adds on free games, but place them in the beginning or end of the game not multiple times in the middle of a game. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Buggy app *2021-11-06, version 2.1.9* The app stopped working and when I deleted it to reinstall it, it acted as if I never paid for the ad free version and was trying to scam me for another $2.99. Not happy ### 1/5 — Has problems running, captures the paste buffer *2021-11-02, version 2.1.9* If you start the game, go on to something else and come back, the game usually just hangs and needs to be force quit. The game doesn’t always launch under iOS 15. If you have copied something, the game will capture whatever you have when you launch it. It hasn’t been updated in two years so none of these problems will be getting fixed. The icing on the cake? During game play the game will randomly freeze. The only way to continue playing is to cancel game. Zero customer support. ### 1/5 — Unusable on iPhone 11. *2020-08-31, version 2.1.9* Why? Because you have to swipe the cards up from the bottom of the screen, thus bringing up open apps on the phone. Solution: the game maker should allow a tap of the card, instead of a swipe up, to select a card. Tried rebooting I pad, then deleted the app and downloaded again. App won’t open ### 1/5 — Buggy, crashes, unable to restore purchases *2019-04-11, version 2.1.9* Running on the XS Max. App stopped working and wouldn’t load. Had to re-install. Now unable to restore purchases so it looks like I’m out $2.99. Link to app support from App Store goes to 404 error. ### 1/5 — Worked Fine For Awhile Then . . . *2019-03-07, version 2.1.9* . . . it quit loading. I uninstalled and then reinstalled SEVERAL times but to no avail. It would work for a few hands, then fail to load. While it worked it was enjoyable. It seems that something happened after the last app update. That’s a shame. Otherwise I would recommend the app. The developers said they’d work on a bug fix; NOT. Do not spend your $$$$ on this app until the developers FIT IT! That is quit the shame because it had the BEST ui for this type of game. ### 2/5 — Ads are extreme *2022-01-22, version 2.1.9* This game doesn’t have adds after every game, it has ads after every HAND! I’ve played one game and am deleting. Enough is enough! ### 2/5 — Cribbage Critique *2019-10-05, version 2.1.9* Commercials interrupt but make it annoying when they block out the game and I have to go back to icon to play more! ### 2/5 — Nice, but needs updates for iPhone X and newer *2019-10-01, version 2.1.9* I really want to like this game, as it’s overall a good game with decent graphics and animations. However, the developer hasn’t implemented the proper UI Safe Areas for iPhones with a Home Indicator and this causes great annoyance. Since the “play a card” mechanism is a “drag the card” gesture, and the cards are located right next to the Home Indicator, about a third of the time I try to play a card, the OS sends me to the home screen instead. Nothing fancy. Just straight up and simple. ### 5/5 — Best of the cribbage games *2020-11-18, version 2.1.9* Definitely the nicest and smoothest running game. According to the stats on this game, in the 943 games I’ve played in 61 & 1/2 hours I have won only 440 games (46.7%). Exceptional AI and very pleasing graphics as well as just the right touch of animation whereas it does not distract from the game play. As mentioned by others, would love to play against others (by invite only vs. random player). Would also like to personalize my Avatar with either my photo (preferred) or rendering a pseudo “pseudo” look alike one along as selecting the opponent avatar.
