Fix the shot timer for 5⭐️s from me. *2024-02-03, version 1.2.13* Most of the app works correctly with my lighter BT, but the “time” mode just displays the same time for all shots. ### 2/5 — Tracer *2023-12-16, version 1.2.13* My tracer Bluetooth won’t show up ### 3/5 — it’s aight *2023-07-20, version 1.2.11* it’s aight ### 3/5 — Flawed *2022-06-27, version 1.2.6* It’s a clear and easy app to use. However it has one big fault. The energy figure shown on the chrono is different to the energy figure shown on the app by a very large margin. I use fps for velocity, grains for weight and ft lbs for energy reading. I’ve set both the app and the chrono to these units. The Chrono seems to give correct reading but the app is massively over on the energy reading. I did a few checks and conversions and it appears the app is calculating energy using grams as the unit of weight. This is despite both app and chrono set using grains. Doesn’t inspire me with any confidence that any of the readings given by the chrono are accurate. ### 2/5 — Energy figure in app is different to that on chrono *2022-03-30, version 1.2.6* The app now connects perfectly to my iPhone. The data transfer from the chrono works well, except for the energy data. The data shown in the app is different to that shown by the chrono. Looking at the reviews this has been a problem since tha app was launched. The basic function of a chrono is to reliably calculate energy. Given that the app can’t do that, it is pretty much useless. ### 2/5 — I wouldn’t buy it if you have iOS 15 *2021-11-27, version 1.2.5* As soon I I updated to iOS 15 I had many problems with the app, every time I would try to connect to my lighter BT it would not work and then randomly it would connect but only for like 5 seconds then it would disconnect. I don’t know if this is just me or it’s multiple people but it needs to be fixed. Note before iOS 15 it was working fine and it was actually connecting and it stayed connected. ### 3/5 — Review? *2021-11-19, version 1.2.5* I have to get a review for this? ### 3/5 — Could have been great *2021-07-13, version 1.2.3* I got the chronograph and downloaded the app immediately. I had high hopes but it fell just a bit short. The chronograph and the app work the way it should until it gets to the foot pounds column. Foot pounds work correctly on the chronograph but are no where correct on the app. All the inputs on the chronograph and iPhone are correct. There is a glitch in the app. If I can’t get it straightened out it will have to go back. I talked to the company in Taiwan with little help. It’s a shame it would have done exactly what I needed it to do. When it finished charging I downloaded the app and connected it to tracer. I put the tracer on my pistol and it worked fine. I set it down until it turned off and came back to it, turned it on, the light flashed then stayed solid green. I pressed the button and it turned off and now won’t turn on help me please. ### 3/5 — Problem reviewing data. *2020-12-09, version 1.0.20* Although this is a simple app to use it doesn’t appear to store the data correctly in that when going back to review data I found that the numbers had changed. For example, one of my air rifles had a power output reading of 10.58 ft/lb but when I went back to review the saved data this number had changed to 2.32ft/lb. So now I have to screenshot it if I want to save the data accurately. ### 3/5 — Won’t pair! *2020-11-28, version 1.0.20* Tracer is great,works excellent with red bbs. However whatever I do I can’t get it to pair with phone, or Tablet.. not a big deal since have better chrono’s. Changed ammo to 4.5mm and 8.44gr and it is calculating the information incorrectly. Can Not connect via bluetooth to the tracer unit. The pairing instructions are terrible. It says open the app - then once the unit pops up - for the first time using to pair the app and with the unit by pressing the power button which literally turns the unit off then the unit disappears on the app and NO PAIRING takes place! The app has always worked well, and the tracer unit always connected when turned on. Middle of July 2026, I turned the tracer on after a year in storage and tried to connect to my phone. I kept receiving a failure to connect message. I couldn’t update the tracer firmware either because I couldn’t get the app to connect at all. I emailed customer service and sent screenshots of the error messages. They told me their tech people knew what the problem was and an app update would be sent out in about a week. Other than that first hiccup it works PERFECTLY so I recommend this deeply especially they realized it wasn’t working and fixed it. ### 4/5 — Excellent Tracer and the built in chrono and features are very convienent *2024-04-10, version 1.2.17* Installed a Bifrost BT on my DDMK18. Works amazing and with the extra features of this app, it just brings it over the top. Was able to chrono my gun and see the rate of fire and other useful information. Being able to change the modes on the fly is just impressive and easy to do.
