## What is AceSpeak?

acespeak scores your public speaking on video — so you walk into interviews and presentations ready.

upload a clip, and in seconds you get a score across five things that decide how you come across:

• gestures — are your hands helping or hiding?
• facial expression — does your face carry what you are saying?
• pace — too fast, too slow, or just right?
• intonation — does your voice keep people listening?
• pauses — are you using silence, or filling it?

you get one clear score out of 10,000 and how you did versus your last try — plus specific, friendly tips on what to fix next.

more ways to practise:
• read-along mode — a script on screen with a countdown, so you can practise without writing anything first
• today's topic — a fresh prompt every day, for when you do not know what to talk about
• speak freely — record straight into the app, or upload a clip you already have

then it gets addictive (on purpose):
• build a daily practice streak, and share one with a friend so you both keep it alive
• challenge a friend to a battle — same topic, 48 hours, five rounds
• climb the leaderboard against everyone else practising
• unlock characters as your scores climb

AceSpeak is built for anyone who has to speak and wants to nail it — students prepping for oral exams and admissions, job seekers rehearsing interviews, and anyone who dreads presenting at work.

practice is addictive on purpose. made for people who hate presenting.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.20.0 — 2026-09-07

practise together, and alerts that land where they should

you and a friend can now share one weekly goal — and the notifications you already get finally open the right thing.

• "this week together" — a weekly practice goal shared with a friend you already have a streak pact with. one bar, both your practices, and you can still see which half is yours
• nothing to set up: if you have an accepted pact, the goal is already there, above your pacts on the friends tab
• after a practice, the shared number moves while you are looking at it
• league alerts — crossing a tier, a season result, or the season's closing hours — now open the league on home, instead of the score board
• tap a friend's notification and it opens that exact moment, instead of dropping you on a feed
• cheer a friend straight from the notification, without opening the app
• a streak invite that arrives while the app is closed now shows on the app icon, not only on the bell
• turned notifications down and changed your mind? the notice now takes you back to settings
• screens settle into place instead of snapping into it — home, your plan, battles, progress, your quota bars and the paywall
• the signup date-of-birth picker no longer refuses a birthday
• four pieces of Chinese that were still appearing in English are now translated

### 1.19.0 — 2026-09-03

your answers now shape the plan

your training plan asked six questions in the last release. now it uses every one of them.

• the plan is built from what you actually said — what you want most, the situations you speak in, and what trips you up when you get there
• a big day coming? the card counts down to it, shows which phase you are in, and hands you that day's practice with one tap
• every practice now opens with one thing to work on, on one of the five things we score — a cue, not a lecture
• your streak fills in a month calendar, and the goal bar aims at the run of days you chose for yourself
• choosing who you face and choosing a topic are two clear steps now, and they look the same whether it is one friend, a group, or a battle already waiting
• finding a friend is one search box, and you can clear it
• lists show their shape while they load instead of a spinner
• your breakdown now names what your content did well, not only your delivery
• the get-ready caption says which kind of practice you are about to start

### 1.18.0 — 2026-09-01

a plan to follow, and a gentler start

your training plan now asks six short questions instead of two, and the card it
builds shows your real numbers rather than a target alone. there is a second way
into it from your profile.

we ask who is speaking before the first lesson. a young speaker gets a calmer
first run — the lesson says relax, this is meant to be fun, no rush and no
perfect take — and the stage offers a breath before a take instead of asking
someone to talk the moment it opens. nobody has to find a setting for it.

• every list now shows its shape while it loads, instead of a blank screen:
history, reviews, the leaderboard, the awards shelf, your collection,
  progress and the streak page
• pull to refresh on your reviews
• cheers from the same person gather into one row, with a count of how many
• speak freely for up to 120 seconds
• when a practice cannot be sent, the reason on screen now matches the real
reason — a used-up allowance no longer looks like a hardware fault
• the challenge picker lists everyone you can actually challenge
• your nightly practice reminder now arrives at the hour you chose, instead of
a fixed one — so it no longer lands hours away from your own reminder
• four icon-only controls that a screen reader announced only as "button" now
  say what they do
• secret topic keeps the back arrow while the prompt is still hidden, and no
longer promises thinking time it does not give

### 1.17.0 — 2026-08-29

give yourself something to chase

• my training plan: tell acespeak what you're after — practise more often, lift one skill, or raise your best score — and it picks one number for you to chase, with the days left showing on your home screen
• secret topic: the prompt stays hidden until you press start, so you answer it cold. on your own, in a challenge, or in a group — nobody sees it before their turn
• what you said: your breakdown now judges the substance of your talk, apart from how you delivered it. it does not change your score
• choose how long a take runs when you challenge someone, the way a group creator already could
• join a group battle after the window has closed
• pull to refresh — home, profile, friends, streak, awards, leaderboard, history and announcements
• the analyze screen has a way out, tells you where it is up to, and you can aim the spotlight
• a friend streak celebration now says who it is with
• every remaining empty screen says what belongs there
• long lists build as you scroll, so friends and battles open faster
• fixed: signing out no longer leaves your details behind for the next person to sign in
• fixed: tapping "write your own" in a group no longer loops the create sheet
• fixed: the leaderboard title now comes from the server's window rather than the phone's clock
• fixed: messages no longer hide behind the tab bar

### 1.16.0 — 2026-08-27

acespeak moves now

• every win lands: awards, avatar unlocks and streaks now celebrate, instead of flipping over in silence
• acey turns up in six new poses, at the three moments acespeak used to go quiet on you
• screens fill in as they load — 44 places that used to spin at you now show you the shape of what is coming
• every press answers back, with a feel chosen for what it does rather than one tap for all 154 of them
• your first run walks you in, rather than leaving you on the home screen to work it out
• empty screens say what belongs there, so a blank list is never a dead end
• the streak card reads your whole day at a glance, across six states that escalate as the day runs out
• the streak flame is redrawn and moves, and your number flips over instead of sitting still
• your score breakdown counts up, and the five axis badges pop at their points
• the leaderboard arrives as one sweep, and your feed has a drawn mark for each kind of thing that happened
• find people worth following, right in the feed that needs them
• ask a friend to start a streak with you
• choose whether to hear that a freeze saved your streak
• turn on reduce motion in iOS settings and acespeak follows it, on every screen
• fixed: a pasted battle invite creates the battle again
• fixed: shared cards no longer lose their body typeface
