## What is Achalti?

Achalti is a calorie and nutrition tracker built for the food people actually eat in Israel.

LOG A MEAL IN SECONDS
Type a plain sentence like "rice with grilled chicken and salad" and Achalti identifies every item, estimates the portions and calculates calories and macros. Or just photograph your plate.

AN ISRAELI FOOD DATABASE
Local products and supermarket brands, not an American catalogue that never matches what is in your fridge.

YOUR DIETITIAN'S PLAN, TRACKED
Upload a plan as Word or PDF and it becomes a daily menu with alternatives. Tick off what you ate and it lands in your diary with full nutrition values.

A PERSONAL AI ADVISOR
Ask about calories, protein, training or your own progress and get answers grounded in your profile and logged data.

SEE THE WHOLE WEEK
Daily calorie balance, weekly trend charts, an on-target streak, plus weight, body fat and circumference tracking.

SYNCS WITH APPLE HEALTH
Steps and workouts flow into your daily calorie maths automatically, with no double counting.

Free 7-day trial of every feature, then a monthly or annual subscription. Cancel any time in your App Store settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.12 — 2026-09-04

Better barcode scanning: on devices that support it, scanning now uses the phone's own decoder — faster and more accurate on blurred or angled codes.

Photo food recognition is improved too, and dozens of common Israeli foods were added to the database.

### 1.0.11 — 2026-08-27

A much better barcode scanner: the camera now asks for continuous focus and a higher resolution, so codes read faster and at close range.

Added a torch button for scanning in poor light — a supermarket aisle, for instance.

Also fixed a case where the app reloaded itself mid-scan.

### 1.0.10 — 2026-08-24

• Cooked dishes: save a whole pot with its ingredients, say how many servings it makes, then log how many you had — no weighing each ingredient onto the plate.
• Much more varied menus: fruit every day, protein desserts and bars, and the vegetables, starches and fats now rotate between days.
• The "Kosher" setting now combines with vegetarian or vegan instead of competing with them.
• Barcode scanner fixes.

### 1.0.9 — 2026-08-24

• Training days in your weekly menu: mark the days you train and those days are built bigger, with the rest balancing out — so the week still adds up to your goal.
• A "Kosher" setting, on by default, that combines with vegetarian or vegan.
• Vegetarian and vegan now filter swap suggestions too: no more meat, fish or animal products offered to someone who asked for none.
• Each day is measured against its own target, and on an unusually active day the menu tells you how many calories you have spare.
• Barcode scanning now works offline, asks how much of the product you had instead of assuming a serving, and falls back to a photo when the camera isn't available.

### 1.0.8 — 2026-08-22

Barcode scanning is new: point the camera at the barcode on a package and the product goes into your diary with its calories and macros. No searching by name, no typing figures off the label.

A menu for your goal: no plan from a dietitian? A short questionnaire covers how you eat and what to leave out, and the app suggests a weekly menu from the targets already in your profile.

Portions are shown in units you can serve: half a tub of cottage cheese, 2 eggs, 3 slices of bread, with the weight in brackets. Swap any item and the app offers alternatives sized to what the day is missing.

The menu is generated automatically and is not a substitute for advice from a registered dietitian.

Also: layout fixes on iPhone screens, and corrected portions and units across hundreds of foods.
