## What is Achikochi?

Achikochi is a direction-only map. It does not draw a route. Pin where you want to go, then walk the way the needle points. No shortest path. No turn-by-turn. Take a detour, pause at a shop sign, watch the street. You arrive on foot, at your own pace, after enjoying the city.

HOW TO START (3 STEPS)
1. Long-press the map or search for a place to drop a pin
2. Open the compass
3. Walk toward the red needle at your own pace. Remaining distance updates in real time

When you get close, your phone vibrates so you know you are almost there.

NOT A ROUTE APP
Car nav and map apps tell you where to turn. Achikochi only shows direction. You choose the street while you look around. Alleys you have never taken, a shop that catches your eye, the light on a building. It is a map for finding things as you walk.

FEATURES
• Google Maps for your location and destination (no route line)
• Place search (Google Places) and search history
• Search results show straight-line distance and a rough walk time (not a routed ETA)
• Long-press the map to set a destination pin
• Save a place to a list and set it as your destination later
• Live bearing from the compass sensor
• Remaining distance in km / m
• Vibration when you are nearby
• Four compass looks: Classic, Dowsing Radar, Fantasy Tool, Fancy & Cute
• Destination and saved places stay on your device so you can continue later
• 9 languages

GREAT FOR
• Sightseeing when you want the streets, not the fastest path
• Walking to a cafe your own way
• Heading to a park with room for detours
• Exploring a new city with only a needle to follow
• Checking the direction of a parking lot or campsite

COMPASS STYLES
Classic magnetic compass, dowsing radar, fantasy tool, or cute. Same walk, different mood.

PRIVACY
Location is used only while the app is on screen, not in the background. It is used to calculate direction and distance and is not sent to our servers. Search history, your destination, and saved places stay on your device and can be deleted anytime.

LANGUAGES
日本語 / English / 简体中文 / 한국어 / Italiano / Deutsch / Español / Português / Bahasa Indonesia

PLEASE NOTE
This app does not provide turn-by-turn route guidance. Bearing and distance may be off because of compass sensor or GPS error. Do not use while driving. Stay aware of your surroundings when walking.
