The only reason this game doesn’t get 5 stars is because they have not been updating the game and matchmaking is bad… this game should be on all platforms and ready to go #1 rts 2024 but no one knows about it. The recent update deleted all of my progress. Troops Jules cards everything lost to an update. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 So much time and money wasted. The game is good it’s just disappointing that for some reason their updates make you lose everything. Thank you. ### 3/5 — WC3 style game *2021-05-02, version 1.9.14* Very well done strategy gameplay. Of course it’s pay to play especially after you get units to level 4. Once you get to that point it becomes increasingly harder to upgrade them and because you can’t go back to fight with lower level limits it becomes a huge disadvantage. There’s no story like elements and so there’s no real incentive to test other units, especially when its so expensive to upgrade them. ### 5/5 — Awesome game but please fix level mismatch *2021-03-27, version 1.9.8* The game itself is so good, except that a lot of game you get matched with an opponent whose cards have way higher level and it’s too unfair to have any fun from that. Heavy Starcraft vibes. *2020-12-08, version 1.9.5* I’ve been waiting for someone to try and make a star craft like game for mobile and these guys did it. Plenty of units to use and there is plenty of strategy involved to win against people with higher level cards then you and each rank caps the level of cards people can use. So the higher you climb the more difficult opponents you face. And they have skins you can buy for your units so looking forward to some really cool skins to buy in the future. Overall great game and looking forward to future content. Would like to see maybe a PvE mode similar to Star crafts co op mode with there commanders and just more skins and units and more ways to unlock units for free to play players. And one suggestion is to make the next battle pass unlockable when you compete the current one or include it in the starter bundle. ### 5/5 — Great *2020-12-06, version 1.9.5* Hate the art style but the gameplay is really good ### 3/5 — Fun game. Poor matchmaking *2020-12-02, version 1.9.5* Been playing this for about a month now. Fun game as you collect cards through gaining in came currency (coins) from participating in matches. It’s better to invest in one strong deck in the beginning with substitute cards depending on play style. Fun game thought gives you that RTS feel you may be looking for in a mobile game. My old real issue with this game is it puts you agains people that have much stronger cards. (I am in bronze II league) so the chances of winner become almost not possible. For example, as a lvl 6 gnoll vs any level 4 gnoll or other cards will dominate regardless of its counter. I think this should be fixed as from personal experience the interest in the game goes away when you get matched with people that have cards 2 or 3 times yours. Maybe implement a “card score” or “deck score” of some sort to help matchmaking. If my cards are all lvl 4 then I have a score in the 400s. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — This game cheats, for some reason *2023-03-06, version 2.4.3* I don’t know if it’s just my game; because, this game has a 200 troop capacity for my units. Yet some how, my opponent regularly, has more than double my troop capacity. And if that wasn’t enough; the troops almost always have a higher level than my own troops. Why cheat? Lol. Completely a waste of money! Besides the fact that it will lag during gameplay and reset your decks when trying to start a team battle. They do balance changes on any card that performs well, making them weaker every month. Spend time and money to upgrade just to have those cards be useless. No wonder everyone stopped playing, you have to wait 2 minutes or longer to be matched for battle and the other player isn’t even close to the same lvl. Bad match mechanics, updates, and new cards. I redownloaded the game which didn’t fix anything and I searched ACIES battle runes server maintenance July 2024 via google. and couldn’t find a single forum/article relevant to why the servers down. It just seems like a really long time for a server maintenance break. Is anyone else is experiencing this issue? Thank you. ### 5/5 — Incredible RTS Option on Mobile. *2023-01-25, version 2.4.3* ACIES has great gameplay. It’s interesting how they mixed the classic RTS gameplay with the more common deck building and upgrading gameplay from mobile games. It sure works though. The game itself plays like StarCraft, with StarCraft style maps, but the units are more fantasy themed like Warcraft. Other than that, you get 8 different units or spells to use, out of cards that you’ve unlocked. There’s only multiplayer, and there’s 1v1s and also 2v2s and 3v3s that rotate. Honestly, the monetization is heavy, and it’s definitely as pay to win as say, clash royale is. This is super fun, has a good ranking system, the cards (you’ll see) are a different and fun twist so far. Not just the same thing over and over and over if you so choose.
