Highly appreciated! Unfortunately since the last update the great audio function enabling you to listen to the texts being read to you DOES NOT work anymore at all. (No error message displayed.) Would highly appreciate to restore this audio functionality! Thank you very much! ### 3/5 — Helpful content, limited flexibility *2024-08-29, version 2.4* The ipad version of this app is restricted to landscape format only despite the text nature of the content being such that the more natural reading use would call for portrait orientation as per e.g. Apple Books. That makes it awkward to use, easier to try to find a paper copy if possible. It would also be better if at least the part most recently viewed were downloaded, better still if all were, as going back to it later when out of Wifi range means the page/lesson is not viewable. I can’t even bear to listen to it at the delay and speed. I use the reading feature on my iPhone but wish it was just in the app so I can adjust it. It’s waaaaaay too slow. I just downloaded your App. It looks great, very complete with all three sections and audio. I appreciate all of your work! However, I find the audio speaker’s voice a bit slow for my ears and taste. And, some may find it a bit fast to follow. Most audio Apps have the ability to set the audio speed to various rates; 0.8, 1, 1.25, 1.5, etc. I think this App would be just perfect if you could add an audio speed button like most audio Apps to accommodate those of us whose ears and brains process words at a different rate than the speaker is reading! Is this possible? Could you please add this in the next update version? Thanks so much for your time! ### 3/5 — Thank you for the great app but would love a couple of features added *2021-01-02, version 1.6* Really fabulous app but would greatly appreciate two features which would make it much more user-friendly. One is to be able to permanently set the font size. I need my font size at about 26 and so I am constantly tapping the button to increase it. The other feature is to have the app open at the last page I was on. I have to bookmark it to remember, so if the app opened at the last exercise or text page I was on that would be ideal. I’d like to listen to this app with headphones while meditating. I would give 5 stars, but I find it annoying and disappointing that I can’t play it as long as I like... I can only play one section at a time. Then you have to manually forward and press play again to hear the next section. This doesn’t work for meditating or driving. I don’t understand why you can’t play the whole book without pause or interruption. ### 4/5 — Audio not playing on Bluetooth headphone *2019-12-15, version 1.6* This app is really great. I'm sure your rating will be 5 stars! <3 ### 5/5 — ACIM OE *2019-08-31, version 1.2* I made daily use (throughout the day) of the previous ACIM Original Edition app and LOVED it! I put it on my Apple Watch so I would frequently be reminded to do the lesson. It greatly improved my practice! I didn’t think it could be improved. But it HAS been! The new version has bookmarks and a collapsible table of contents. This makes finding the day’s lesson in moments! Collapsing time! 🤗 Thank you, Rev. You may only use when on a data plan or using hotspot. My phone plan has no data and thus I cannot read this when I am without one. Description is thus incorrect. I will be asking for a refund for now and I hope to return when you have updated the app and fixed your description. :) Please update we would much appreciate it :) I am leaving a low score to remind the developers of this app that people still want to buy this book but we need some fixes and updates. The triangle for audiobook won’t work and play audio as promised. I just got this app so I will explore more, update, and enjoy the ride even if the audio never gets fixed. Although I would just love it if it was because my eyes may need a rest from reading my cellphone screen. I just got through the entire text and will now move onto the lessons. I find this to be a great app to listen to while I am doing other simple things like driving or watering the garden. The music and pace of speech is perfect for me while I am doing other things. The calming music seems to put me into a place where I am more able to comprehend the true meaning of the course which I have found difficult to do by reading and studying the course. Overall, it feels like this app helps me to let go of all the craziness in this world and be more receptive to the amazing teachings in A Course In Miracles. This app is helping me realize all of God’s blessings are within us and it is merely our responsibility to let go and decide to truly trust God. God bless. ********************** ORIGINAL POST: I absolutely love this app and want to switch my rating to a 5. However, once I got to Chapter 9, the audio only works for every other section and this continues in Chapter 10 and perhaps beyond. I have an iPhone and restarted it a few times hoping the problem would go away. I am left to assume the recordings have been erased on the server? I waited several minutes for each blank recording to come on but nothing ever happened. Recordings that work only take a second or two to load. Overall, this is an awesome app and I love the relaxing music, calm voice, and pace of the recordings. I just wished all recordings worked as I am having a hard time understanding The Course given the missing sections. My understanding of The Course increased significantly listening to the recordings. I think the calmness somehow has a better way of channeling the message to me verses reading it myself or with others. Please do check if there is anything wrong on the server side with the recordings. It is always easily with you, all texts offered in a well designed app. Most importantly, easy to access daily lessons every single day. A bonus for me is the ability to LISTEN to a professional voice artist reading the texts with a beautiful European tone. Feels very personalized as if Jesus is speaking directly to YOU. The subtle background music is inspired. I look forward to my time with ACIM every day.
