It’s simple to use, and very well thought out. However, I think the only thing it really needs is a direct message feature, just in case of connection issues between a single guest. That was a scenario I witnessed one of my first visits. The host had to give their discord in order to be able to help out the guest who lost connection. Other than that, great app! ### 4/5 — Second opinion *2020-12-15, version 1.1.8* I want to clear something up, this app is the best! Most of the community is very generous! This app is very helpful when it comes to animal crossing. I felt I Coo Sony only have one rating because three stars doesn’t seem quite right for someone saying this app is AMAZING!!!!! This is by far my favorite app. I have made friends on here. But the developers have abandoned us. Just recently the app broke into a huge fight about something that I don’t want to go into since many painful words were said too many people. There was a terrible person on that app and I am glad to say they were gone now. This app is 100% appropriate for children though I just feel the developers left us in the dust during that time. You will never see this message and probably won’t respond, but I think you need to pay more attention to the app you created, please. :) ### 5/5 — First time user *2020-06-26, version 1.1.6* I'm a first time user so there's only one thing I wish the app made more clear when you join a line to go sell turnips the listing with the read "leave line" button may disappear this means the line is full so you have to use the drop down to select "open & full" and make sure you're not just viewing the "open" list. The first line I joined disappeared from my view and I thought I was rejected from the line or some sort of other error the whole time it was just located under another view. So I got in another line and the same thing happened but I asked the ppl in the chat this time and they let me know why. I'm afraid I had unknowingly wasted the first persons time so lesson learned. I just wish that was made more clear. Other than that everything went smoothly and I completed my first transaction easily. I'll probably use this app from now on instead did scouring twitter to see who has good turnip prices. ### 5/5 — Very nice app, has transformed my turnip trade! *2020-06-20, version 1.1.6* Very well put together app. Always up and running and reliable. Great system. Has truly transformed my trading! I wish I could get more ratings, I’ve traded some five times as a seller, and left positive feedback with detailed written review for all sellers, and yet only one host has reviewed me. I dont mean to burden the kind peeps who host, but if there was a way for them to easily review positively the experiences that worked out and only take note of the negative ones perhaps, it’d be great! Otherwise very nice app, definitely worth a download! ### 5/5 — Excellent and Easy *2020-06-19, version 1.1.6* I’ve been a fan of animal crossing since the beginning of its creation. In past games I wish I had a tool like this app to connect with other players for trades of turnip prices and other fun events. I check the app daily and have connected with many fabulous players through it. It makes trading easy and fast. I like the rating system. I also love that there is a collection tracker, it helps me know how far I’ve got in my museum and with K.K. every Saturday. I always know which songs to request because now I have a close by reference. They also update frequently with improvements. Love it. ### 4/5 — Some changes *2020-06-13, version 1.1.6* I love this app and always use this to trade, but it would be nice if the only people who could rate you is people that you actually visited or vice versa. Or maybe report thumbs down with an explanation to remove it because people thumb down for the dumbest reasons. I had to leave as a no show and even though I let the person know, they still rated me as a thumbs down and now my 100% is forever ruined. People just assume that I was a bad guest. I also saw someone who was thumbed down because the person who rated them was impatient and upset they had to wait 2 loading screens. ### 5/5 — This will become a AC playing staple ! *2020-05-24, version 1.1.6* Hosted my first catalog party tonight. It was a bit confusing at first to figure out how to stop the queue but figured it all out in the end. I didn’t have any issues with my visitors either so this makes me want to do another party. It’s great being able to rate visitors. I do wish there was some push notifications for the chat feature if there is already Idk how. Maybe a party chat option would be cool too since the games communication is so awful. Maybe a spot to put your island hemisphere, game date, game time and native fruit would be helpful. More profile options Is what I’m going for I think. I also sold my turnips as well today through this app which worked well. It was confusing when you join a line and then the line disappears because it became full. I thought I got kicked or it glitched but I had the “open lines” only filter on. Had so much fun! ### 5/5 — Very well formatted and easy to use *2020-05-22, version 1.1.5* This app is so much more organized than trying to sell turnips on reddit or other sites that i’ve tried. Hosts are able to be up front about their expectations so you know what is expected before visiting their island. You can hop in a queue, get an estimated time for how long it will take, and even put your phone away and simply forget about it until you get the notification. Highly recommend as a relatively stress free way to sell turnips for a good price and to make a little extra in tips if your prices are high. ### 5/5 — Don’t normally leave reviews but... *2020-05-17, version 1.1.4* I’ve always been a big animal crossing player, as I’ve progressed further in the game and started doing things like turnip trading and catalogue events, this app is everything you’re looking for and more. Before I found ACNH exchange I was using Facebook and reddit groups which quickly becomes overwhelming and messy. This is a super clean, organized and easy way to host and join island events, even just for shopping visits. There’s also a neat collection part of the app where you can keep track of all the bugs, fish, fossils, redd art, and K.K songs you have. I’d like to see a general item list one day too! Overall very pleased with this app and would recommend to avid ACNH players! ### 3/5 — Hosting is very Buggy *2020-05-15, version 1.1.4* I really like this app, I think it has the potential to be the ideal place to host/trade for Animal Crossing:New Horizons. I have traded with others on here no problem, but I hosted for the first time and it was smooth at first, but soon after it was non-stop network errors and it made it difficult to invite people or even communicate through the chat. It was very frustrating for me and the people in line and quite a few left because of that. I would like to use this app again to trade and host but until the bugs are fixed, I may have to look elsewhere. ### 3/5 — Network Error *2020-05-15, version 1.1.4* I love this app!!! I have used it daily since I downloaded it!!! I don’t use it for the turnip trade, but it has been nice to be able to hang out with people, share catalogs, and visit for Celeste, Kicks, Sahara, etc. I have also really enjoyed getting recipes! I currently don’t have a jock or snooty type villager, so there are apparently recipes that I would not be able to get otherwise at the moment. Unfortunately, a couple of days ago it started having issues with glitches. I turned on the app and there were literally no queues. I go to my profile and realize that I’m not logged in. Maybe that has something to do with it. Nope. I’m logged in, but still no queues. I restart app. Nothing. I get frustrated and am trying to figure it out when I get a popup that tells me network error. I’m literally right next to my modem, having absolutely no issues with other apps that use the internet, and have full internet connection according to my phone. I give it up for awhile and eventually come back to it. I can see queues again! Hooray! Then the window that says network error pops up every 30 seconds or so, sometimes more frequently. The chat makes it so my message doesn’t send until it suddenly sends anywhere from 2-6 times. It does this for everyone who tried posting in the chat. There are a couple minor things I would suggest, but right now I have to stress the issues that everyone suddenly seems to be having with network errors. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — What a waste *2020-05-13, version 1.1.4* At first I enjoyed this app but it takes too long to get through any of the lines. I probably will continue to use other turnip exchange websites from now on. I can start at the same exact numbers but this app tells me I have to wait 48+ hours where as other websites I haven’t waited more than an hour. Then I upgraded for 4.99 and nothing but a waste of money. The app won’t load it keeps telling me there is a network error continually! First time trying to host an event and I couldn’t talk to anyone! Every time I sent a message back to someone it sent it 6 times! THIS IS A WASTE ESPECIALLY IF THEY MAKE YOU PAY AND IT RUNS WORSE THAN BEFORE YOU PAID!! Super disappointed. ### 2/5 — Bare-Bones and Overbearing *2021-03-27, version 1.1.9* I used this app for over a year and really enjoyed it. The community was great, but unfortunately "was" is the keyword here. Not sure what changed, but many of the active users were all banned within the space of a day or so with little to no explanation from the moderators (no explanation was the most common - I got lucky and got a vague, unhelpful response to my own inquiry). In looking around at other similar apps, AC Exchange lacks a lot of features found in many others. However, AC Exchange was simple to use and fairly intuitive. Just don't come here expecting any kind of social experience anymore - it's clear that the developer wants to keep this from becoming a Social Media app. But if you do need a simple way to trade turnips or look for events, this app certainly works fine. ### 2/5 — I want to love this app... *2021-01-26, version 1.1.8* I really do but after waiting in 6 separate lines over a span of a few days, (wait time was about 2 hours each line) just to make it to spot 5 and under, and have the host shut down the island is really frustrating. Not end of the world frustrating but let’s be real, still frustrating. You should be able to rate hosts who close their islands prior to getting to the end of the line. Or the host should have to commit to being open until they reach the end of their line. They can easily cap off how many are in line, so once you have a line, keep it open. ### 2/5 — Wonderful App, Terrible People *2020-11-12, version 1.1.7* I found this app while researching the best platforms to buy and sell turnips. I came across this gem and I enjoyed it for about three months. Some people who use this app are very untrustworthy and very rude. This app has players that range from many ages, making it a true hotspot for cyber bullies. I’ve seen more drama on this app rather than ACNH content. This app also allows you and others to rate each other, which can be seen by the public. Be careful what you do and what you say because it’s very easy to ruin your reputation. People are VERY sensitive on this app. ### 2/5 — Review percentages are incorrect *2020-05-12, version 1.1.4* On Sunday 5/10 I went to buy turnips at 4 islands... none of my ratings have appeared on my profile and my percentage did not budge from previous day. I could clearly see that the host gave me a positive rating on their end. Hosts shouldn’t be able to rate ppl who never enter their island. I never set foot on this girl Beth’s island, her wait was too long... somehow she gave me a negative rating. If I forgot to leave her line- oh well I should just get kicked out of the line. Negative ratings should be used legitimately for ppl who clearly misbehave on your island. Other than those issues, the app can be useful for turnip trading. If ppl are reading too much into the ratings, then it will negatively affect my experience using the app. On Sunday I kept getting bumped further and further down on some lists... if my rating influenced that decision by the hosts, that’s pretty unfair. ### 3/5 — Overall good *2022-03-12, version 1.1.9* It’s good but could have a few things fixed. For one I think we should have more options for the event type. The second one is bigger, reviews! I have gotten bad reviews for things I haven’t done! I think we should be able to explain what happened and the app could choose to leave or change the rating because I have a 99 and can’t get to a hundred because one rating and some lines are for 100’s only. Also the callouts. We should be able to ask why we were removed. Other than that great app! Has helped me out a lot ### 3/5 — I like it *2020-08-25, version 1.1.6* I like the app it’s really good on getting ppl to get their turnips sold and to sell them and overall a great app though I had this experience. I was selling for my prices for my dads island bc he doesn’t know how to work the app it’s going good until I changed what I wanted as a payment I used to accept bells but I changed it because I didn’t need bells then ppl started complaining about it then since 2pm I’ve been doing the line I ended it around 6pm told everyone that I was ending it and that was that I checked to app and I was getting so many different reports for no reason I didn’t even do anything wrong I go to reddit to find help and the support team says the email them I did they never respond. It’s been two whole months and I’ve never gotten a reply. ### 3/5 — Mostly good, but ratings are buggy *2020-06-04, version 1.1.6* I’ve used this app a few times to host events and ask for ratings but I’m fairly certain this app is buggy and doesn’t actually record every rating you receive. I’ve checked after guests have left and it shows them rating me, but they don’t show up in my profile (even after the “hour” it says in the app that ratings don’t show up until). I hosted turnips with around 60 some people and only received 2 ratings on my profile...something is up with their rating system. ### 3/5 — Almost Awesome *2020-05-17, version 1.1.4* This app is useful in many ways. It’s a helpful tool that helps you keep track of your progress and trade around turnips effectively. However, it has two main issues. 1. An app like this tends to attract people who want to take advantage of situations involving lots of bells and NMTs. You can thankfully report people who are especially egregious, but many people still list themselves as “No tip required” and then will demand tips in their descriptions. This needs a penalty, but this issue is small/negligible. 2. I have been kicked out of lines multiple times due to the servers being out of order. I checked to be sure it wasn’t my connection, and unfortunately there was nothing I could do. It has happened 4 times and each time, it took at least an hour for me to get back into any line which, anybody who has used the app can tell you, grow exponentially fast. TL:DR It is a great app that is definitely worth a try, but as it is now, expect a couple rough spots. ### 3/5 — Great app, bad execution *2020-05-16, version 1.1.4* The overall look and feel of this app is smooth however, percentages are ridiculous. You should not be able to rate people who never went to your island. Additionally, I received 3 bad rates because Nintendo Switch servers went down which brought me from 100 to 91 percent because (3) people believed I “ sent everyone home “ and/or one person thought me allowing many people into my island was terrible hosting. overall it is way too easy to get your ratings tarnished even if you are a good host. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Helpful *2021-07-20, version 1.1.9* Very helpful for turnip market & keeping track of your list of things that need to be finished. My only complaint is how items in the completion list are arranged. It’s suppose to go in alphabetical order but a few items on the list are arranged differently than the game’s alphabetical order. Other than that slight confusion it’s a useful app. ### 5/5 — Love this app!! *2021-04-23, version 1.1.9* Thank you to the creator(s) for this app! It’s super organized and I like being able to communicate with the host! Something turnip exchange doesn’t have. It’s also nice that I can leave the app and continue to use my phone without fear of being locked from the queue. Something turnip exchange is also missing. Both are great but this gives more security and organization and I love that! ### 5/5 — Great app, amazing community *2021-03-24, version 1.1.9* I love the app! I love the acnh community! Everyone I have interacted with has been so amazing and kind. It’s great that we are all able to rate each other so you know that you are interacting with trustworthy people. I have been able to obtain items that I have been looking for forever!! I was finally able to sell my turnips at a profit! No more rotten turnip for this girl! ### 5/5 — Highly recommended! *2020-10-17, version 1.1.6* After trying a few other similar apps, this one turned out to be my favorite. I love the expected wait time, and the chat with the host functionality. The thing I would suggest is that if the user selected to view “open only” lines, and they are IN a line, that line should not disappear from their screen if it fills. That freaked out several people in my line. Now I know to use the “full and open” drop-down option. ### 5/5 — Great app and room for new features *2020-10-11, version 1.1.6* I’ve been using this app for a while so that I can give an unbiased review. I think this app is great. Has a very clean interface and a great community to help new users through the ropes. I like the layout and is simple to use. If I could suggest something, I wish there was someway that there was a screen that we could see every line that were in regardless of if it’s for turn ups or for the meteor shower, having one area where all of your lines are would make it a little bit more clean I think. Bug Feedback: i’m not sure if this is of bug but there are times where when I exit a line I’m still in the chat for some reason. ### 5/5 — Lovely app, really friendly events community *2020-08-15, version 1.1.6* I’ve greatly enjoyed using this app for turnips and for all the events available as well - really appreciate all the hard work and effort that goes into developing and maintaining it! One suggestion for the team, as a host for events it would be helpful to have notifications when someone joins the line, it’s challenging to continue to refresh the host screen/check the chat. Tons of notifications would probably be overwhelming for the popular turnip lines, but would be helpful for smaller event lines. ### 5/5 — Amazing app *2020-08-12, version 1.1.6* I love this app. I use it almost every day, and I love everything about it. It helps keep everything organized, and everything is so easy to read and find. Blown away by how nice users are and how easy it was to make 10 million bells in one night! I got very lucky joining lines that people just posted! The next day I stumbled upon the special events portion of the app and saw the endless possibilities this app provides! It makes trading, visiting, and shenanigans so simple! ☺️☺️ I would recommend this to everyone I know (but I don’t want to clog the lines up) 😂😂 thank you to the creators of this app! 💕🥺 ### 5/5 — Best app there is for Turnips! *2020-07-06, version 1.1.6* I love using this app a whole lot! I find it very functional and easy to use when it comes to buying and selling turnips. I would say this tho... some of the hosts on the app are like pure savages.... they ask for too much and can be rude at times. Some hosts can be unresponsive in the chats too. Oh and I advise people not to go with ones who ask to join a discord session! It’s a waste of time and quite frankly a huge mess. At the end of the day this app has its few bad apples but not everyone is like that! So give it a shot and beware of some users and hosts!!! You won’t regret it!
