## What is Acorn?

Acorn — Daily Practice in Math, Reading and Music

Big skills grow from small, daily habits. Acorn turns math, reading and music practice into a short daily routine your child will actually keep — about ten minutes, once a day.

A parent sets a few tasks on a calendar. The child opens the app, works through what is there, and is finished.

A HABIT, NOT A REWARD LOOP
No shop, no currency, no character to feed, no daily reward to miss. Acorn is built to grow a learning habit rather than a reward reflex — when the day's tasks are done, the app has nothing else to offer and your child puts it down. Streaks and scores live in the parent's progress view, not on the child's screen as something to defend.

WHAT A DAY LOOKS LIKE
• Math — 84 question types across 14 skills: addition through division with remainders, then fractions, decimals, negatives, place value, rounding, money, sequences, comparisons, missing operands and word problems.
• Reading — 270 articles across nine levels, kindergarten to eighth grade, each followed by questions on the main idea, a detail, a word in context, an inference or the theme. Wrong answers send older readers back to the paragraph that holds the answer.
• Music — notes on a real staff across five levels, from naturals on the treble clef to both clefs with accidentals, adding intervals, chords and multi-note reading. Answer by naming the note or by playing it on the keyboard, and the keys sound.

PITCHED WHERE THEY ARE
Leave it alone and Acorn chooses the level from your child's age and how their last few sessions went — fewer questions on a skill they have mastered, more on the one they keep missing. Or set every level yourself. Either way you see the exact questions before the task is created.

BUILT FOR THE FORTIETH DAY
• Missed questions come back as a short second round, and the first-pass score is kept separately — a retry is practice, not a way to fix the number.
• No running score while they work. The result waits until the end.
• A profile for each child, with their own levels and their own calendar.
• An optional time limit on any task.
• Progress by individual skill over 7, 30 or 90 days, not one number for "math".
• Articles can be read aloud for children still learning to decode.
• No ads, no chat, no accounts, and nothing collected.

Plant the seed today. Watch them grow with Acorn.
