### 4/5 — more features

*2024-01-29*

this app is amazing and almost a way to visualize wifi networks, how ever it could have a few more features. encoding color data or an option to use some form of audio encryption would be cool, to encode and decode audio realtime

### 4/5 — Can you add more features?

*2018-09-02*

This app is AWESOME! I used to have to do this on my desktop, cutting, pasting, and converting files through several pieces of software.

It would be helpful if the app had a few additional features:
1. The option to import an image OR view live sound (the microphone). Right now, it picks up background noise (coughing, cars driving by), which adds unwanted frequencies to the generated sound.
2. The option to output the audio file in different formats (m4a, mp3, WAV). I know different compression algorithms would also change the image, but having a smaller file size would help me email these to myself.

If you could add even more features, it would be even better!
3. The ability to raise or lower the threshold/Hz/limit of the sound so the image could be taller/shorter. Right now some images get stretched strangely.
4. The option to share the output audio file to a different app, rather than only mailing it.

Thank you, again, for creating this!

### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for.

*2015-11-19*

I've imagined doing exactly what this app does since way back before cell phones existed. I imagined people sending secret messages by visualizing, through using little handheld fft devices. When texting came out I figured it obsolete. But here it has come to life! This is a dream come to life, man! Props.

### 5/5 — Cool!

*2015-04-14*

Very very very cool.

### 5/5 — Very unique!

*2015-04-11*

A very cool and unique app. I've never seen anything else like it. If you're looking for something to do absolutely crazy things with photos and images, this is your app. (On the other hand if you're looking for a regular app to transfer photos between phones this is not it!) You can interject and all sorts of your own sounds while the image is being transmitted to deform it quite nicely. Shout, sing, play the radio, go to a crowded public place and try it. The resulting images are one of a kind.

You can try the free version first to see if you like it.

Warning: this app is totally useless to anyone looking to do high quality "normal" photography. If that's you, stay away. With an app this brilliant and distinctive, the last thing they need is one star reviews because somebody thought it was something it wasn't.

### 5/5 — This app is of high quality and has amazing uses!

*2015-04-09*

I fell in love with it when I first downloaded the free version. The free version is very useful, but this is one of those rare apps that I liked so much I bought the pro version. It adds emailing the sound file to any computer among other things. A major update added features and works great with iPhone 6+ / iOS 8.2. I love how true the images are to their originals, even in less-than-perfect conditions at lower sample rates, like those used in a telephone. The linear/logarithmic switch actually changes how the picture is transmitted and helps emphasize the high (harder to receive) frequencies and hence detail. The possibilities are limitless to be able to send pictures by sound--put it in music--disguise (conceal) it with the "noise" feature (great for a short message or symbol). The moving spectrogram is pretty awesome, as birds, whistles, cats and everyday sounds reveal distinct images (which you can save). This app is sophisticated and unique. Kudos to the programmer! A+

### 5/5 — Délicieusement rétro

*2015-04-04*

### 5/5 — Cool!

*2014-12-26*

Does exactly what it says it does. Just on a whim I tried the free version to test out a spectrogram analyzer on another device. Then bought it. Well done!

### 5/5 — Really cool

*2013-02-20*

Love the app thanks for making it.
It would be sweet if you added support for saving images and composing your own images from inside the app

### 5/5 — Fascinating

*2012-10-14*

Very interesting little app. Would recommend.

App no longer works on XR

### 1/5 — This app broke since last update

*2019-05-19*

My cam won’t open up and the mic doesn’t pick up the transmission. Please fix. I’ve had this app since my iphone3gs and have bought it 3 times . Works well on my legacy devices. This device is a 6s plus.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2019-05-05*

Doesn’t receive image

### 1/5 — Just keeps crashing

*2015-07-25*

Everytime I try to choose image or take photo, the app crashes
Both on iPhone 5s iOS 7.1.2 and iPad Air 7.1.2.

### 2/5 — app crashes

*2024-06-29*

crashes when attempting to share sounds or load images

### 2/5 — Camera Malfunction(?) Reloaded /iOS 13

*2020-04-22, version 1.1*

Would have liked to give this a great review, but the only function working was sending a picture from library and the audio play. The camera function did not work, no picture black screen, I reloaded reinstalled, the camera function showed now a sunshine or lighten brightened which stayed in black screen my guess is that the picture facing function pivot button doesn’t work.

A Suggestion: I would prefer it allow the person to permission the camera as they have set, not use the program screen to do that part. In doing so, perhaps we can bypass this problem?

Please message me, if there is a way to fix this problem. Thank you for the trial application. I once used a very good model to make spectrogram, in same app. We can also send and receive, but the image it made, we could simply change the pivot screen on our camera setting for selfie example shot and save to our library.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t Work

*2018-02-15*

Doesn’t work on iPhone 7+. I am able to email the file but it doesn’t show the transduced version within the app.

### 2/5 — New problems?

*2015-04-27, version 1.1*

I downloaded this a couple years ago and really liked it. However, I have problems today. My iPad Mini on iOS 7 crashes after selecting a photo and on my iPod Touch running iOS 8, none of the buttons do anything. It would be nice if...

### 3/5 — Need bugs fixes

*2023-09-30*

需要兼容

### 3/5 — Nur senden?

*2019-01-28*

### 5/5 — Please

And Thank-You… :-)

### 5/5 — Incredible

*2023-12-23*

This is one of the coolest apps ever and it’s so awesome that it’s truly free and it only takes up a single digit amount of megabytes!

### 5/5 — A hidden jewel of an app.

*2022-01-15*

I really hope this app still has support. I don’t know if there are any others out there like this. I especially like the frequency selection so I don’t blow ears out. But I have some cool ideas for this. I’ve been messing around with a lot of random sounds to just to see what comes out of it.

### 5/5 — Top Notch

*2020-11-26*

Very Nice

Does what it says! Very useful.

Any chance of opening up the source.

### 5/5 — Amazing and works great!

*2020-10-17*

It is uncanny how good the image quality is, and a little bit eerie, although highly scientific in actuality.

### 5/5 — It’s 1963 again!!!

*2019-09-23*

This technology was used by NASAs satellites to transmit images, taken in space, back to earth.
The principle behind that system is used in this phone app. Very cool. I now use it to broadcast images through my radio set to radio listeners across the country! Fun fun!

### 5/5 — Please update this amazing app

*2018-11-26*

This app is Amazing. Please, please update it. Such a wonderful tool should come standard with computers and phones. Sharing files crashes the app, and the ability to switch between portrait and landscape would be a wonderful addition.

### 5/5 — Great app! Works super well

*2018-04-27, version 1.1*

This app is great it has many things you can’t do with other paid spectrogram apps, and it lets you put pictures into your sound then send it to people. Really wished this app got more attention, it really deserves it.

### 5/5 — Impressive technology demonstration

*2017-07-15*

I write very, very few reviews. This app is one of the most visually impressive demonstrations of how data can be transmitted wirelessly I have ever seen. My professor used it in my engineering seminar to great effect.

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2016-11-26*

This app is great for anyone interested in music or audio production. Very cool.
