The areas that I have to calculate are not square.  So this app will not help me much.

This app does not take into consideration angles (degrees) of directions of  dimension. It is fairly useless to actually do most land acreage as land is virtually never evenly dimensioned by the same width and length at all corners. One needs a GPS program to do this.
