What really gets my back up, is developers who charge for an app from the off, because they know it’s poor and if they offered a free trial people would run a mile… this App is one of them… Addition following response from developers. Criticising your customers isn’t good for future sales. If instructions where clear why has another unrelated purchaser made the same observation. No mention of charity work at time of purchase.. suspect another deflection instead of thanking for the purchase and acknowledgment that maybe the App needs a bit more work. ### 2/5 — Don’t expect anything special *2022-05-07, version 1.0.1* Interface seems a bit buggy and the designs were nothing special. ### 2/5 — Interesting concept but can’t export *2022-05-07* This is an interesting concept, and I’d like to see more option for creating designs. I would give it a higher rating, but I am using this on my iPad and the share sheet does not work. Edit: version 1.0.2 should fix this ### 3/5 — OK *2024-10-19, version 2.0* "OK", but doesn't consider multiple displays. ### 3/5 — Please bring back the 3D *2023-05-31* The 3D generator was limited, but I loved it. I couldn’t care less about the gradients. If 3D comes back, I’ll give it 5 stars, but now the fun is gone. ### 3/5 — It’s fine *2023-05-29* I loved making my own meshes but all of my saved meshes aren’t usable in this app anymore. I used it to make album art for Apple Music playlists. It’s now just a random wallpaper generator now which is fine if you didn’t use the app for what it was before. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Amazing App *2023-05-30* This is a great app for making mesh gradient wallpapers, I'm not aware of anything coming close to the ease of use and versatility of Acrylic. The new functionality of animated/video wallpapers is a welcome surprise, but my favorite part about this app remains being able to export high quality 8K mesh gradient images. ### 5/5 — Sweet app *2022-05-16* Sitting here with the creator at a kava bar. Cool dude and great developer ### 5/5 — A great start *2022-05-14, version 1.0.3* A lot of work has clearly gone in to creating this app. You can tell it’s a new app, however for £1.79 it’s a bargain and I can’t wait to see how the developer continues to expand and enhance the app over the coming months and years. Great work! Highly recommend a download! + since launch 70% of all proceeds are going to charity, which is a great thing to do. Support smaller developers and help a charity. I recommend it. ### 5/5 — Awesome app but *2022-05-10, version 1.0.2* This is exactly what I was looking for to create some amazing desktop wallpapers.... BUT the export aspect ratio and resolutions squashes the image. Please add a starting canvas resolution (and actually have the canvas dimensions be separate from the generated image so a single image can be outputed to different resolutions and aspect ratios). ### 5/5 — Absolutely amazing! *2022-05-08* This app does something unique, and the implementation is very well done! Love it! ### 4/5 — Good concept *2022-05-15, version 1.0.3* This is a really interesting concept and is clearly quite a well built app (smooth, fast etc). I think it has a lot of potential and as someone who only uses gradient wallpapers for my Home Screen I was excited to use it. However when you save the image it’s a little grainy. If you look at UI gradients (website) the gradients are very smooth whereas this app when downloaded has lots of little lines. Not sure if there is a way to have sharper/smoother downloaded images. ### 4/5 — Great little app *2022-05-13, version 1.0.3* I really enjoy this app for creating interesting and unique backgrounds.
