But more often than not, the app has been crashing, returning a lengthy error message decipherable only to software developers. ### 3/5 — Works great when its working *2020-05-04, version 2019.6* Unfortunately, there have been several times when the App decides my login is no longer valid & there is no visible way for me, as an App user, to update my information. ### 3/5 — Decent app *2019-09-17, version 2019.6* Church life is a decent app that ties into ACS. So remember your account will need to match what information your church has for you in ACS and is admin-ed through ACS. So if you have trouble talk to whoever is in charge of your ACS programs at the church. Works great on the phones but is lacking on iPads. Screen stays tiny no matter the iPad size. Could be a great app but needs better development. ### 4/5 — Great Directory *2017-09-23, version 2017.17* Our church is wanting to replace the printed directory for this app, which is a great idea. One thing that we commonly hear is that there isn't a way to search via pictures. That would be a wonderful tool in the search page have the Pics beside the name. That's the only enhancement it needs. It's June 3rd and the app keeps crashing on opening. Reinstalled it now telling me my username and or password is in correct. It's not. Even when selecting the option to "remember me" I still have to log in whenever I need it. It's very frustrating. After changing, it would not connect saying that email or password not supplied. So it is a useless app to get. I did not remember my password, but there seems to be no way to retrieve it. Clearly you guys at ASC must not use this app yourselves or you would fix this and keep it fixed. ACS needs help moving into the mobile world. This app is unreliable and frustrating. For the amount of money our church pays for their service we should expect better. ### 1/5 — Broken *2016-12-06, version 2016.25* If I had a nickel for every time this app has been broken by an "upgrade," or at the very least lost my sign in credentials in the process, I could fund my church's building campaign. Every ACS system is a mashed together mess, but this is ridiculous even for ACS. With this "upgrade," I'm forced to change my password, and then the new one isn't recognized. A screen reading "no email or password provided" after the supposed change makes the app worthless. Please fix this!! ### 1/5 — Crashes immediately *2015-12-21, version iOS App 2015.23* The app used to work fine on my iPad Air (though it wasn't optimized to take advantage of the extra real estate an iPad affords over a phone, but no biggie.) now it crashes before opening - I see a glimpse of a login screen and then, gone. I've wanted something like this for years. I've thought before about trying to put my whole church in outlook. I've thought, "Why can't I have everyone in my phone?" I don't ask that anymore. I whip out Church Life, and there I have names, pictures, directions (linked to iMaps), emails, cell phones, home phones, and the names of spouses and kids, all in two seconds, all at my fingertips. If I see someone in the distance, I sometimes check for their first name or their kid's before they get to me. It's golden. We're in the process now of exploring how to get this tool in the hands of all our staff, all our leaders, and ultimately, the members as well. Other than a new times with log on difficulties, this app works seamlessly, and runs perfectly.
