### 3/5 — Too soon

*2023-02-01, version 4.7.5*

Just started using. Too soon to have an opinion. :)

### 4/5 — Logs are Easy and Helpful

*2022-12-08, version 4.7.5*

I love the daily and weekly logs and the ability to share your depression and anxiety scores with your therapist. But that’s all I’ve figured out how to do. When I started, they clearly labeled “start here to learn ACT.” But that was several months ago, and now I’m lost. I keep logging and trying different buttons every now and then, but I can’t find the “ACT & This App 101” that I desperately need. It’s almost too much info. But I’m still excited to figure it out because all the information and freebies are really well done- visually, UI, and content.
—update. If you pay for the upgrade, it’s worth it! Makes it really easy to learn the skills mentioned in the check ins

### 5/5 — Best app

*2022-02-10, version 4.5.1*

Helps me with my anxiety

### 5/5 — Way to track

*2022-01-22*

Sometimes when life is difficult it’s hard to see improvement. This app allows you to track daily changes and gives a structured moment of reflection. It can also be a great way to share info with a behaviour therapist.

### 5/5 — Life saver

*2021-08-11, version 4.1.1*

Just getting use to the system I’m new it’s helping me map things out

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2021-08-06, version 4.1.1*

I like the journal and being able to where your at in the moment.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2021-02-05, version 3.1.6*

Educational as well as interactive

### 5/5 — Love

*2020-10-29, version 3.0.9*

Can’t wait for more content

### 2/5 — Missing content, shallow explanations, typos, no useful free content

*2020-09-22, version 3.0.2*

This app seems like it could be good but appears half finished or only geared toward those deep into working with a therapist. There is almost no free content. What is there is just a couple links to YouTube videos and a few somewhat broken paragraphs. There is no intro or guide on how to use the app. The “what is act” lesson doesn’t really tell you much about act. It links to two general videos about CBT and talks of the “3 areas” but only lists two.

I honestly can’t tell if this app is real or if it’s a copy-paste scam app designed to lure people with a promise of lots of content that doesn’t exist. The bugs, typos, and lack of useful free content don’t inspire confidence.

### 2/5 — This app has a horrible interface

*2020-06-26, version 2.1.3*

If I didn’t need therapy then I sure need it now.

First of all. Put your password requirements somewhere! We live in a time where we can’t all know and assume all of the characters and Wingdings you have to use.

First, not 8 letters. Okay.
Then needs at least 1 Capital letter.
Alright...needs at least one special character!

Give a girl trying to try a therapy app a break... because IT GETS WORSE

How? Well I create my account or so think and I opened the email code and went back to the app, the page reset! It took me to the beginning. So okay.

Then I tried creating my account again. User already exist. Okay. Sign in then. ACCOUNT DOES NOT EXIST.

Awesome jobs guys! 😂

You will be getting a bill from my therapist!

I joke. But the app looks decent from these pics? 2 stars even though I never made it past the front.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Barely any functionality without paying for a subscription- should not be considered a “free” app

*2025-05-15, version 5.1.6*

This app doesn’t allow you to use the majority of the functions unless you pay an expensive subscription. At least make it a one time charge. Not worth downloading, unless you’re wanting to pay $10/month.

### 1/5 — No Progress Saved

*2023-04-19, version 4.7.5*

They deleted all my progress. So how the app signed itself out of my Apple ID and when I logged in there were no past logs at all. It’s a useless app for people who actually want to get better because you can’t even look back to see how you’ve done. This is just trash.

### 1/5 — CLINICIANS BEWARE

*2022-07-29, version 4.7.3*

If you are a clinician, you will not be able to coordinate with clients through this app unless you purchase TWENTY-FIVE 6 month subscriptions for your clients. Yes, that's right, nearly $1000! It's a shame because it's an interesting and helpful platform, but they have obviously have ACCEPTED that there are a lot of needy people who will pay them and COMMITTED to accumulating as much wealth as possible. There are better alternatives out there - or, you're a developer - please make one!

### 1/5 — Fake Russian Reviews?

*2021-09-09, version 4.1.4*

I have been checking out various ACT / CBT apps, looking at their cost (if any), privacy policies and reviews. Two things stand out about this app:
1. **SO MANY REVIEWS** from Cyrillic-alphabet usernames and Eastern-European sounding usernames, yet in perfect English. And a number of them are word-for-word copies of reviews, posted a year apart, from different accounts. That is strange and suspicious, leading me to consider the app publisher may have paid for 5-star reviews, to push this app to the top of the list.
2. This app costs $50 every six months, which might be worth it, but I can’t test run the app to find out. Several other apps not this category are free or much lower cost, and provide free content to use, or a trial period, before requiring payment.
I have concluded that an abundant number of likely fake reviews, combined with the immediate requirement of a subscription before any trial, makes this app an unappealing and expensive risk.
Too bad, because the app description sounds good.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work for iPhone

*2021-06-02, version 3.1.6*

I would have loved to have used this app and paid for a subscription but it doesn’t work with my iPhone. When I went to take the initial tests, I could not scroll down to see all the answer options. The only option to contact support was a direct email link to Apple’s integrated mail program, which I don’t use. Nowhere could I find an email address to contact. Sadly, I don’t recommend this app.

### 1/5 — Not free

*2020-02-12, version 2.0.1*

$$$$$ don't download unless you have money. No help here for poor people

### 1/5 — Worked Great until it stopped

*2019-10-06, version 1.2.1*

This app was a life saver for me. But after a month or so it just stopped working. It would keep saying "failed to connect to store" no matter what I selected.

I wasn't able to access any exercises or see any of my old entries.

I had taken a premium membership for 6 months. I thought i would delete the app and re-install it. After doing that and logging in I see that I'm no longer a premium member and it asks me to take the premium membership again.

Update - as I was typing this I decided to check one last time and now I'm able to access all exercises and entries.

Update - now it's again asking me to take the premium membership. So the app keeps working and crashing intermittently.

### 2/5 — Freezes!

*2025-12-06, version 5.2.0*

I downloaded the app and tried the free trail. I actually have a coach thought maybe this would be a good app to keep track. After every entry or assessment the app just freezes.

### 2/5 — Could be better

*2024-09-25, version 4.7.5*

ACT is such a great therapeutic tool, but this app doesn’t do it justice. It’s not clear what the sliding scales are asking for.

### 2/5 — More like a Workbook than an APP

*2022-10-30, version 4.7.5*

Not much integration or automation, little better than a Wikipedia with a network of links between resources. Normally when you spend money on an app, you’re paying for some automation and ease of use, not just a jumble of resources. It’s really just a manual workbook in app form.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Amazing ACT app

*2024-10-07, version 4.7.5*

Wow! What an amazing ACT app full of ACT tools.

### 5/5 — Engaging

*2023-12-21, version 4.7.5*

Thank you to all who played their part in producing this into a real form of therapy and reaching out help vets in need.

### 5/5 — Great way to practice ACT processes

*2023-09-19, version 4.7.5*

It’s easy to ‘know’ ACT but not live using ACT processes

### 5/5 — Hfksjabfnsadf

*2023-02-27*

Dcs

### 5/5 — Very easy to use

*2023-02-21, version 4.7.5*

Very user friendly and simple to understand
Most features are available without having to pay!

### 5/5 — Truly helpful

*2023-01-04, version 4.7.5*

My therapist turned me onto ACT and I found this app independently. The daily checkins are truly helpful and the additional classes and meditations are icing on the cake. I upgraded to the paid version after using it for a few weeks and don’t regret it.

### 5/5 — I Love ACT Therapy!

*2022-11-06, version 4.7.5*

It’s a good app so far! Just started using it this week. I love the variation in breathing techniques! I still need to pay for the exercises and lessons.

### 5/5 — Amazing app - you need this

*2022-08-19, version 4.7.3*

If you are not recording what you are doing for your mental health you need this app. It will help you focus. It will prompt you. It is so easy. Love adding photos. Love the percentage of how I’m feeling and a list of feelings. I am more aware of my mixed feelings. Love seeing my progress and how I manage/ coping skills for the days I need support and reminders for what works for me and how far I have come

### 5/5 — Helps me increase emotional resilience

*2022-06-06, version 4.7.0*

Way more effective than most other CBT tools such as Bloom, Headspace, etc

### 5/5 — Liking the update!

*2022-02-12, version 4.5.1*

ACT has been helpful to me and i’d recommend everyone to at least investigate whether it would be useful to them. This App is a handy tool to learn about and practice ACT. I like the update. A couple of the screens on the App don’t line up perfectly on my phone but that maybe because i have an older iPhone. The community comments are sparse but that makes sense as one would be reluctant to share personal troubles. All in all though a good App and I recommend it. The privacy policy is great too, nothing linked to you personally.
