However, I am starting to think that logging on to the website is a lesser price to pay than constantly refreshing and closing out the app. The app frequently freezes and the page gets wonky. I don’t lose my place though, which is nice. ### 4/5 — Helpful but occasionally buggy *2019-04-04* This is a helpful app for preparing for the ACT. There are hundreds of practice questions and two practice tests. If you enter a incorrect question on a practice question, there is a detailed explanation of the correct answer. The app also includes games as well as flashcards, although I never played the games. This is likely the best app for ACT practice. My only complaint is that lately when I have been trying to use it, the app will not load. I go on the app and log in, but it does not load. I have restarted my iPad mini several times. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times, but it still will not work. When I click "Click here if you are having trouble loading" the screen turns white. It is possible that the issue is with my internet connection or with my device, but I would still appreciate if there was a way to directly contact ACT about this issue. Although I have access to ACT Online Prep on a desktop computer. I hope that the ACT will address this problem in the near future. ### 1/5 — Daily goals are too high! *2018-06-25* I'm stressed out enough about this test as is, but the daily knowledge goals are making things even worse! My goal for today was 376 points, and each task I do only raises my knowledge points a little bit! If I try to meet that goal, it'll take me ALL DAY! There's no way I'm doing that! The knowledge points system seriously needs to be fixed! 😡 ### 1/5 — Doesn’t do anything *2018-02-04* I tried logging into my account. All the app did was link me to Safari to log on and study there instead. If all it does is act as a portal, then this isn’t a very useful app. ### 2/5 — Problems *2017-12-03* The app won’t even open. When you press “loading taking too long? Click here to fix it” it does nothing ### 4/5 — Loading my whole course *2017-09-01* ACT Prep is a really nice resource for me! Because of it I can study at my own pace and in the comfort of my home instead of having to go to a class every week. But for the last month or two my whole course hasn't been loading. Whenever I click on my Historical Reports, nothing shows up. It's just a blank screen. I don't know if it's some kind of glitch or not, but if this could be resolved, that would be great. I really do rely on the Reports to see how far I've come. ### 1/5 — 😭 *2017-01-19, version 1.0.3* Since I don't have a laptop I was hoping to access the live online classes I paid for though this app. Turns out it does not work! It does not allow you to access them. Hopefully this issue gets fixed as soon as possible, I wouldn't want $133.99 going to waste. ### 1/5 — Not User Friendly *2017-01-13, version 1.0.3* I've tried multiple times to log into the app and even changed my password and was unable to get in. I had to spend 15 minutes to just register for the ACT program, then when I try to sign in it says my account doesn't exist. I'm very angry right now. One day i get on and all my data on the questons ive taken is gone. Ivd tried many ways to see how i can get my data back but it seems like theres no way. Very disapointed. ### 4/5 — Good, but has a glitch *2016-07-01, version 1.0.2* Whenever I'm doing the practice questions and click the "continue" button, it skips every other question. Once it's skipped half of them and I've completed half of them, it takes me back to the Learning Tasks screen, and I have to click back on the practice questions I was doing. This continues until I've finished all of the questions. I'm not sure if this is because of the app or because of the update that just happened. As the ACT official program, I am disappointed. I am so pleased with the almost 2,500 practice questions, 2 full-length practice tests, and lessons. The program also includes games, flashcards, and more, but time did not suffice for me to even be able to use it all. The best part is that this is all official material! It is absolutely worth every penny. I went through all except 143 of the practice questions and all of the tests before my second ACT, and my score rose from 31 to 36 composite on that second test. On the tech side, this app could use a few tweaks. I would have really appreciated being able to enlarge the font or blow out the screen at least. It was rather hard on my eyes. Also, I would’ve liked being able to hide the level of difficulty of each practice question while solving it. Knowing that a question was “expert” vs. “easy” only sharpened my nerves, not my brain. Because of its terrific content, this app still deserves 5 stars, however. I recommend it strongly!! ### 5/5 — Convenient app *2018-07-20* I can log in on the go or on my computer with no problem. I’m also learning things on subjects I thought I knew well that I didn’t know before. 10/10 recommend for people who do not like the typical ‘do practice tests until you get it’ ACT prep work you’d find elsewhere. ### 5/5 — Best app for act prep *2018-01-06* Are you scouring all over for the right ACT prep course for you? You've come to the right place. The great thing about this program is that not only is it by the makers of the actual ACT, you also get to study at your own pace. Instead of buying countless prep books and doing these unauthorized and not true-to-level practice tests (for example PR is tailored to lower end scorers to get an average scores while Barron is tailored to more advanced students) this one is as real as you'll get. And not to mention the cost-it's only $40 for the program. That's the equivalent of 2 prep books (boohoo) or you could get 1/30 of a tutoring course. Talk about value. My personal experience: I got this app about 2 months prior to my test date, and practiced a little every day. In the end I only completed 22% of the total course, but I was still well prepared for my test. I ended up with a 36 composite first try. All in all, definitely get this program if you want to do well in the ACT. All the people complaining are technologically inept and don't realize that you have to have an ACT account linked with the program in order to use the app. I personally prefer the desktop version but this app is great for on the go sessions. ### 5/5 — Improved score by 3 points! *2017-07-10* I used this a little my first time taking the ACT, landing me a 32. The next time I committed myself to answering all the practice questions and got a 35! I honest to god can’t tell if I’m actually learning anything and getting smarter, or if the app is just slowly killing off all of my dumber brain cells via. Methodical torture. But other than that great app!
