Promising, since the app has less than 2 stars on the App Store. But once I downloaded the app, there was no free trial option. I really want to try this app, but I just can’t pay for an app that might not even work!! Help? **Developer response:** Hi Kenzie — you were right to call this out. Eligible users were receiving the trial, but it wasn’t shown clearly in the app, making it appear that no trial was available. This display issue is fixed in the current version, and the 3-day trial should now appear before subscription confirmation. If it still doesn’t, please contact us through Contact Support in the app or at info@actingpal.com. — Team ActingPal ### 1/5 — App works badly, and zero technical support *2026-04-22* The app sometimes works, but only sometimes. It doesn’t have enough options to change text size etc, and the text size in both modes is way too small. I asked a simple question to their support weeks ago and have gotten no reply. Avoid this app, there are better. **Developer response:** Hi — thanks for taking the time to share this. We checked our Support inbox and couldn’t find a message about text size — App Store names don’t link to our system, so it may not have reached us. If you contact us via Voice Hub → Support or email info@actingpal.com , I’ll personally reply within 24 hours. We’ve also shipped several recent fixes across playback, the audio editor, onboarding, and the teleprompter. If you can share your device model and what you were doing when it “only sometimes works,” we can pinpoint the issue quickly. On text size: the teleprompter already supports Small / Medium / Large, and a larger Prompter View is coming in the next release. If you meant the Practice/Cue screen, that’s noted. The lines just kept saying “failed to load” and when you edit the words, it just played what was written down originally in the app. Even though this app looks nicer, it clearly is not consumer ready. Nobody should be spending money on this scam! More people taking advantage of actors, what else is new. **Developer response:** Hi Bobby — thanks for the honest feedback. You’re right — around v2.0.1 we had bugs affecting sample scripts and playback (including “failed to load” and edits not updating). I like the AI voices that they have and they’re simple to use. But for some reason, self tapping isn’t working because the app is saying it’s not stable enough to operate it. I’m not sure how long this has been like this but it’s December 2025 right now and I would love for the developers to reactivate this feature so I can do self tape or I’m going to a different app instantly.
