Text Kayla. ### 3/5 — Battery *2021-12-03, version 2.50.1* I like it, but it drains my battery and heats up my phone. ### 4/5 — Keep Updating! *2020-07-19, version 2.50.1* This is the only scanner app that allows you to actually scan up to 6 frequencies per band, with 4 total bands. With the rioting going on around the country, this app is a necessity to have with you. I have a bank programmed with my county police and EMS, as well as surrounding counties so when I travel, I can avoid trouble areas. Sometimes the app freezes up when in the background and it does make my 6S run hot, as well as drain the battery, though the battery drain is to be expected with how busy this app is. It would be very helpful if we could find “nearby scanners” as well. I’ve used many but still come back to this one since it’s the only one I’ve found that actually scans. I use it everyday and play it through my Bluetooth as I go out in public in this hostile world we’ve found ourselves trying to earn a living in. Stay aware, stay safe, have personal self defense plans for various scenarios. Things change rapidly in what used to be a stable environment. If this is the “new norm” we better be very prepared to survive in it. Please keep improving this app, it’s a very necessary app to have when out in public, as well as when you’re in your home. True meaning of a scanner. I am not sure why they have not updated the software and take out a few problems. ### 5/5 — Truly a scanning app *2020-02-07, version 2.50.1* What’s sets the Action Scanner app apart from other scanner apps is its ability to truly “scan” up to 6 channels (feeds) in each of its 4 banks. This lets you monitor multiple feeds instead of one feed like other scanner apps. At times, when you have several feeds going the app shows “preparing” on feeds after being used for awhile. This occurs in 1-2 out of 6 feeds and it’s takes a bit of time. Sometimes 15 minutes sometimes longer. I have verified that the feeds are up by using other apps and the Broadcastify site. Since the update my battery gets sucked down literally 50% in about an hour and my phone gets really hot. As well as my phone no longer charges while plugged in if the app is running. I took my phone in to apple and the could not replicate the issues. The app wasn’t running. Please fix this. I can’t live without my scanner. Constantly just stops playing, and you don’t realize until you missed 20 minutes. Also murders your battery. Like 100%-0% in 90 minutes. Claims you can listen to multiple scanners at once, but I’m always down to 1 scanner within 5 minutes because the others will just disconnect out of nowhere. 5-0 radio pro is the best one out there!! I live in a big cityAnd the police use five different channels. This app allows me to monitor all of them at once. No longer do I have to use multiple scanner apps all at the same time flipping between them just to keep up. I just set my five channels and sit that well the app does all the work for me.
