Would not load or refresh. Still shows the runner at 30k and it’s the race is finished. Also the first time using this app. The app kept crashing. Within 30 mins of using, the app stopped working. I couldn’t track any of my friends. Disappointed that a big marathon as LA would use such subpar app. There’s various apps that exceed performance. Being able to track friends esp at multiple mile markers is what makes the experience truly special. Can’t relay at all on this app. Even now I can’t pull up results. The only thing they seem to be good at is adding fees to already excessively high entry fees for crappy service. LA marathon should be embarrassed to have ‘partnered’ with something this low quality ### 1/5 — Not very useful *2024-03-17, version 1.9.7* I have a friend in the LA marathon and I was able to track his splits, but he is an Elite Runner and I wanted to see how he matched up to the leaders of the race. His time 35 kilometers into the races was a whopping 50 seconds ahead of the “first place” runner according to the leaderboards, but my friend wasn’t showing up on the leaderboards. I tuned into the livestream to see if he really was that far ahead, but he was not anywhere near first place. The app did not track my runner. It shows that she hasn’t started the race over an hour after the start of the race. Without the tracking ability for my runner, it’s just a social media app for photos. It was horrible and just drained my battery! It doesn’t let you know when you passed checkpoints. It only shows the course map and supposedly where the runners are which was inaccurate and/or you couldn’t even see what mile marker. ### 1/5 — Abysmal user experience *2024-03-20, version 1.9.7* To echo others’ sentiment, I can’t believe such large, renowned events use this for participants and spectators. The simple process of adding myself and setting up tracking permissions for my family/friends was confusing and inconsistent — I ended up adding them on Find my Frinds via iOS. The new for the one spectator that could follow me, the tracking, GPS, etc was so incorrect, they could t use it at all. As the other reviews indicated, it was incredibly difficult to create an account, as the date of birth options weren’t readily available to input. After all the headache of creating an account and adding my wife so that I could track her, the app didn’t track her for a second of the race. LA Marathon organizers, you should know better than to choose this as an app. Just look at the reviews. You should be ashamed. ### 1/5 — App tracking doesn’t work *2024-03-17, version 1.9.7* The app tracking initially worked, when my friend was at the LA marathon start line. It then crashed and didn’t show his progress at all. Everyone else I spoke with at the race had this same problem. Even the split time tracker crashed during the race. I installed this app for the Army 10-miler and for the second time in a row it crashed after 3 miles - and then I have to start over again at zero. Which went virtual this year. The app made it super simple and fun to track my run and submit my time! Your app loads very slowly. I think you need surge servers on Saturdays and Sundays when your usage goes up due to various races. Also, cell networks get swamped around marathons. You may want to consider ways to make the runner tracking work with low data speeds since that is what people looking for friends may be checking. Neither my wife or me has been able to get it to open after we individually selected the race. The app starts to open, then closes suddenly. I am about to start reloading app again after deleting and starting over five times - here goes. UPDATE : Perhaps too many people were attempting to download to use for the FBI Agent Association Virtual 5K memorial event and contributed to the problems. At the time of the event the app loaded and both my wife and I were able to load and used for the event and the app worked flawlessly. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback.
