## What is Active Rest Ritual?

Turn scrolling breaks into real breaks.

Active Rest is a simple ritual for intentional phone-away rest.
Pick why you're resting, set a time, lock your iPhone and put it down, and come back when you're ready.

How it works
1. Choose an intention (reset, walk, eyes off screen, breathe, do nothing)
2. Set a recommended duration for that intention — or any custom length on the dial
3. Soft Commitment keeps you in the rest ritual
4. Lock your iPhone and put it face down — we notify you when time is up
5. Optional soft tone that can keep playing after the screen locks
6. Two quick questions when you finish — then choose your next step

Built against common category complaints
• One-time Lifetime Pro — launch $19.99 (regular $24.99); no subscription, no auto-renew, no trial that converts
• Soft Commitment — never blocks Phone or Messages (you still control the device; face-down is not a guarantee you'll catch every call)
• Optional Accountability PIN — ends early with a 4-digit PIN; Open Phone opens Phone; still not an app jail
• Type REST to end early — friction without streak shame
• A completion alert, so you never pick the phone back up just to check the timer
• No Screen Time permission maze
• Local-first — no account, no VPN, no ad SDK

Free includes 1 intentional rest per day plus 7 starter Rest Credits. Unlock Lifetime Pro for unlimited rests.

What Active Rest is not
• Not Apple Screen Time parental controls
• Not a hard App Blocker
• Not a large meditation content library
• Not a guilt-streak habit tracker

Designed for knowledge workers and anyone who wants fewer unconscious scrolls — overseas English first.
