Each time I view my children it starts from their infant progress and I have to change it to their school age one. Would make so much more sense to start where they already are. ### 3/5 — Calendar Sync or notification *2026-06-28* I hope the schedule could be synced with the phone’s calendar. Sometimes, we might forget about our booked make up classes so it would be helpful if they are synced or we get notified if we have an upcoming booked class. If people find the alerts too annoying, maybe have an option to disable it. But that’s easily available in the phone settings already. ### 2/5 — Poorly designed UX *2024-12-16* How about some thought as to the most frequently used membership functions - like the quick links - and putting them in the centre of the app - not at the base? The access card is used EVERY visit - by most members - yet it has now moved to the bottom right corner of the screen - and on some phones- need to be scrolled to be found. When I go to change my password it still tells me I have the password and or email are wrong and there NOT!! App developers obviously don’t read the countless bad reviews. And also would be good if it told you if you have already booked into a class, without having to go back to the my schedule screen And it would be good if classes it could sync with phone calendar ### 1/5 — 500 error *2024-10-12, version 4.1* I cannot log into the app when I try to change my password I get a 500 error ### 1/5 — Not user friendly *2024-10-09* As someone who likes to use the virtual sessions at the gym when there aren’t classes on; I find the fact that you can’t see a class once it’s booked out very annoying - as you keep having to double check the timetable. Deleted and reinstalled then got as far as the first home page and the keyboard freezes infront of selections trying to find the centre. It also doesnt say what the options its looking for are ie I think one is meant to be postcode? Cant even get past the home screen let alone log in/book classes for tomorrow. We released an update within a few hours that corrected this issue. ### 1/5 — Wont load *2024-09-25* Since the update I can’t even access the app! It opens I select the centre then put in my email and password and it shuts down. Tried doing it on my iPad, no problem!!! Surely this is an app mostly used by people on their phones ! Can you advise please. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Active World *2026-04-10* Should perhaps be named in Active World Since taking over management from the Ymca things have gone downhill. The pool is not as clean. Access is limited because of school carnivals and learned to swim classes. The variety of classes is rather limited and repetition becomes boring. But what’s more The organisation is not interested in trying to address any of its deficiencies. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-08-20* My gym has started using this app and it’s terrible. I want to view and book classes across different venues and there is no way to easily save your favourite venues and you have to search through a very long list of venues each time you want to look at another gym. The class search and filter functions are awful. Needs a major upgrade. Make more like MINDBODY! ### 1/5 — Sub par app *2025-08-05* Too many clicks to book a class. The worst “feature” is for changing centres. You have to spin through which takes ages instead of being able to type in a few letters to find your centre. The placement is also bad, I end up with the short screen. You can’t even view multiple centers that you might be signed up to without signing out and back in. The app is pathetic ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-03-30, version 4.5* What a painful app to use as a NZ user. Everything is set up for Australian banking systems. Trying to set up a direct debit, I had to give up and email the facility instead. Very frustrating to have the booking block up then have to delete the app and reinstall. Of course no spots let. Just 2 of us in the class so there was nowhere to hide!!! Can always rely on her delivering a purposeful 45 min class & I am starting to see the results. I can see my membership etc but can’t book anything. I have reloaded but no luck. We will endeavour to make sure our customers receive immediate notifications in addition to the App Store notification from Apple. Active World does fully support a browser interface as well as the App and access to the system was not interrupted via the browser. Your username and password are the same as what you use in the app. The Browser is mobile aware so can run from your iPhone. ### 4/5 — App is good, like to see new feature *2024-06-02* The app is good, though I mainly use it to get into my gyms through the entrance gates. I would like to see a new feature where I can access my gym through the gate not only on the app, it through the Apple wallet.
