## What is ActiveLabs?

This app is a demo of our product, ActiveLabs, and a VR headset that you can put your phone in is recommended.

ActiveLabs is a virtual lab simulation that utilizes virtual reality and hand tracking from your camera, mainly for high school students and teachers.

Labs are an essential part of science class, but in many schools, they are only done a few times a year, because of high costs and the potential case of an accident. Many schools are turning to virtual labs, which are simulations of labs on your devices, even going as far as virtual reality to simulate a lab environment better. However, these products either aren't hands-on, don't mimic a lab experience or cost-effective, offering high application costs or utilizing expensive headsets.

Our product, ActiveLabs, addresses these problems the other products have.
We utilize:
- Virtual Reality to immerse the user into a lab environment
- Hand tracking using the camera for hands-on interactivity using the ManoMotion SDK
- All on your phone, to immensely save on costs for schools

This application is our prototype; it is just a demo. We plan on further improving this product and adding more labs in the future.
