### 1/5 — Asking for HealthKit access

*2022-10-17*

Whenever you open it up it asks for HealthKit access even though it has access to the Health app already

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2022-10-17, version 1.4*

I confirm the other comment: the app doesn’t work at all. The popup asking for permission never appeared and the app is not on the privacy section.

Too bad. The promise was good. I asked for a refund.

### 1/5 — Basically useless

*2022-04-10*

As it’s mentioned in the description, there is a technical limitation on the watch face complication refresh. So it never shows the accurate data, never. If you would like to know if you completed the stand goal you’ll see the status from 15 mins ago, so good luck. Tapping each time on the app for it to be updated just makes it ridiculous. So what does this app add to your apple watch experience or what does it solve? Nothing

**Developer response:** Hi there. I am sorry you don’t find the app to be working for you! To clarify, while the app does only refresh in the background once every 15 minutes, this does not mean that the information is always out of date. If you glance down to see that you do not have credit for a Stand Hour, but you have actually already earned a stand hour, all you need to do is tap the complication to open the app. Then, the complication will display a Stand Indicator until the top of the next hour, when it will automatically clear itself. And if you do not open the app, the Activity Rings and Stand Indicator will refresh automatically every 15 minutes.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2021-09-03, version 1.4*

The privary > health > activiti rings + is empty.
So the app is basically worthless as it doesn’t do anything without healthkit permission
I’m gonna ask for a refund.

### 2/5 — Love the Idea - doesn’t update automatically?

*2023-09-28*

I like the indicator, it’s slick and easy to use. My only issue is it doesn’t update automatically once you hit your stand goal for the hour - you have to click it to open the app for it to realise you’ve hit the goal…

Still nice to have but slightly less useful.

### 3/5 — Clever way to see the hourly stand goal

*2022-10-04*

However, for complications, there needs to be a way to select units. It’s defaults to calories but my country uses kj.

### 3/5 — Läuft leider nur noch auf wenigen Zifferblättern

*2022-04-27*

**Developer response:** Hi, thank you for the review. Complications are only allowed (by Apple) to update four times per hour, unless the app is opened. Thus, after about 12 minutes, the Stand Indicator will update on its own. As you noted, it also updates immediately when you tap on the complication to open the app.

Fortunately, at the start of every hour, the complication always resets—so it will never show the Stand Indicator if you have not yet earned your Stand Hour. Hope that helps make the app more useful for you!

### 4/5 — Almost Perfect

*2022-10-10*

Works well, especially since watch os 9 ruined the activity complication for the modular watch face. Displays the rings and numbers nice and cleanly. Only issue I have is with the move calories. I have mine set to 1,000. When I reach my goal, it displays at 1,000 / 1,0… Wish there was a way to shrink the text or something so it fit better.

**Developer response:** Wow—high calorie goal! Thanks very much for the feedback. Will work on an update that fixes that display bug (though it may take me a little while). Appreciate the review!

### 4/5 — App complication not showing up

*2021-11-15*

After downloading the app to my watch and allowing access to health data, although I'm seeing the app in my watch app list I'm not seeing it available as an option for a complication on my Infograph Modular watch face. Giving the low rating so that hopefully this will be fixed soon. I'm using a S5 Apple Watch.

Update:
After restarting my watch, uninstalling the app from my watch, and then reinstalling via the watch's App Store, I'm able to see the complication on my watch faces.

**Developer response:** So glad you were able to get it fixed! Occasionally, WatchOS takes a few minutes after an app installs to detect that it offers complications. Sorry for any inconvenience you experienced!

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very good

*2026-02-23*

It works very well, and I’m surprised by the frequently that the complication updates. I think it could use a little work for the Activity Rings face. I didn’t like that I had to use the more valuable circular complication slot for this app. I would’ve appreciated a slim date complication that said “⬆️ Monday, February 9.” Also, because the watch face shows the number of stand hours, it would be nice if the complication did as well so that I could tell when it’s showing stale data. Like I said, it does update surprisingly frequently, but that doesn’t mean it never shows stale data. I understand there’s nothing you can do about that.
It’s a great app though. I’m happy with it as-is, and for the amount of money I paid, I don’t expect any of these fixes to be made.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2024-09-22*

Great app. Would be good if the complication could also be added to the widget drawer when you swipe up from the bottom of the screen.

### 5/5 — Definitely worth the $1

*2024-05-21*

Usually by the time I’m looking to see if I’ve got my stand credit, the complication shows it - if it doesn’t, it’s an easy tap away. Activity will remind you to stand if not, assuming you have that enabled. Even at a one-time $3 it’d be worth it. I’m sure if the developers had the ability to make it refresh more often they would, it’s just not something Apple allows to 3rd party apps.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2022-10-03*

Thank you for making this very niche app, and the beautiful complications to go with it. Well made apps like this really improve the Watch experience when the widgets are not only so well designed but also functional. It’s a delight to have this on my regular watchfaces, keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — Add support for iOS 16 Widgets

*2022-09-13*

Would be cool if you could somehow add support for iOS 16 widgets on the lock screen to show standup.

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for

*2022-02-25*

Nicely designed little helper. 10/10 would buy again.

### 5/5 — Perfekt. Exakt was gefehlt hat.

*2021-09-14*

Exakt was gefehlt hat.

### 5/5 — I like it. One wish…

*2021-09-05*

Could you please add compatibility to the „Nike Digital“ watch face? Thank you!

Edit:
I stand corrected. I did not notice the other complication. My „Nike Digital“ watch face is now equipped with Activity Rings+. Wonderful!

**Developer response:** I’m glad you like the app! Activity Rings+ offers a full ring-style complication for every watch face that allows dynamic complications, such as Infograph, Meridian, California, and Pride.

On all other Watch faces that allow complications, Activity Rings+ offers a simplified stand-view complication that fills in solid once you've met the current Stand Hour. Hope that helps!

### 5/5 — How the Apple rings should be!

*2021-05-22*

Really simple and really effective, it’s now my default activity complication. It would be better if tapping the complication loaded the activity app though.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the kind review—it means a lot!

I completely agree with you: I would love for the complication to open to Apple’s Activity app. Unfortunately, that isn’t currently possible, so I hope the information I provide in Activity Rings+ is helpful. If Apple ever permits developers to have Watch apps open other applications, I’ll implement that feature immediately. In the meantime, if you have any suggestions or feature requests, please feel feee to submit feedback!
